Kids would come out here (Portland) or Oregon for that matter because its easy to be homeless here. Food stamps are easy to get and i guess panhandling was profitible. Thats all changing now though. People who live and work downtown are getting burned out stepping in piss and shit and having to deal with them. The cops recently just killed a homeless man for basically no reason at all. they got away with it too. Anyhow, Tons of the kids on the street here are run aways from the suburbs that surround Portland (Gresham, Beaverton, etc.) But yeah, its becoming less of an issue sence they filmed that documentary. Personally, I fucking hate them and talk as much shit to them as i can. The worst is some of them are out there bumming money to buy RECORDS. Like, WHAT THE FUCK! Looking at that guys little self promotion site about how he goes and buffs peoples shit is rad. He uses lingo that he read on here,IE the term "buffed" or "buffing". He also takes pictures of the work pre and post "buffing" and documents them on the internet, on a forum type setting. You have to admit, hes looking for some "fame" or recognition in some form. I mean, he went as far as contacting local news stations to advertise his exploits. .... Heres a new one... "Yo Sier! I've got 4 of yours lately. Keep 'em comin'. Your childlike ego must be big, because all your tags are big. Your need for recognition must hurt." Now. Hes just as proud of his work as any of us.
