I know im not one to give advise....but i think do what makes you happy. If you enjoy taking pictures of say a toilet ( in my case) then do it. Dont take things so seriously, just enjoy yourself. If all else fails, take pics of naked ladies performing lewd acts, might bring you back to loving photography!
