some photos from the pride parade last weekend. the sun was ridiculous so the lighting is all shit. most of the pictures were so bad lighting wise i couldnt do anything with them. eh. monique

wait, so is that a good laugh or a bad laugh? on a side note, ive always thought it a bit ridiculous how crazy los angeles and san fran get with their gay pride parades. kind of ruins the intended goal of integration; instead alienating the general heterosexual public even further. :D

for anyone in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. The annual LGBT parade is this sunday. Should be really interesting to shoot. anyways. here are some from about two weeks ago. comments/critiques etc welcome.

now that i think about it though...what about people like jerry uelsmann? he did AMAZING film collage shit in the darkroom that rivals some of the best photoshop creations that ive seen. if you havent heard of him. check it out. he has some great work that really pertains to this topic.

exactly. photography needs to get back to showing truth and reality. when you change a photo so much with post process that it no longer tells the story you saw (or created in the studio), its bullshit. at the very least you shouldnt try to pass it off as a photograph.

i would also suggest the d40x or k100d. you definitely do not need all the extras that come with the higher priced slrs. one last los angeles river shot.

that quoted mannequin shot is awesome. great colors and mood to the shot. i havent been shooting much lately, lots of school. eh. i know train shots are cliche here, but still; i like trains.
