that giant i rode in SF had ultegra and i was so/so w/ its performance. when i got home and rode my campy equipped shit i wa son some FUCK shimano. it was funny i kept involuntarily flicking my thumb to shift w/ no lever there on the ultegra. also its annoying how easy it is to tap the brakes when shifting. prob not too bad once you get used to it after a while

i drag my fat ass up hills as much as possible. cycling has given me body image problems. 6'1" 180lbs down to 165-170 fit weight and i trudge up those motherfuckers at like 186bpm. ive broken 200 but i think my hr monitor was freaking or something. it was like 212 if i remember correctly.

joker what is your normal max HR? like on average? i was at 186 yesterday and felt like i could go more but my legs gave out. i felt fat and lame.

i was not at the sorints. philly has very mixed terrain. there are some good hills and great rolling terrain out of the city. i just found the ride in sf to be on 110% the entire time. good times. oh and the weather was better.

damn, ill. your race reports are always awesome dude. i rented a decent bike on saturday in sf. giant tcr, all ultegra, ksyriums. it was pretty comfy, light, full carbon. not too bad, classless though. ANYHOW. rode from the marina into the presidio, up to golden gate park, out to ocean beach, down to the bridge, over the bridge, did the headlands loop, back to the marina. shit was NICE! not too cold, but a lil chilly. felt like i rode 70 miles of my home turf. so many hills. dudes in sf dont play, i was getting sonned left and right, but i wa son some eat a banana tourist type shit. super fun. i would love to ride there every day.
