tired of doing self portraits, but certainly not tired of shooting medium format. These were shot with a mamiya C220, I might buy a Pentax 67 off one of my teachers.

thanks, someone at work was like, "Hey, cross processing." You shoot slide film which gets developed in E-6 but you develope it in the wrong chemicals and use regular C-41 and it makes negatives out of positive film, it makes the colors all off and ups the contrast. Apparently it was really played out in the late 90s but I must have missed that. It's neat, the negatives turn like purple. You could take slide film to any lab and request it, most labs should do it and if they tell you that it ruins their chemistry then they're assholes, it takes like 100 rolls in a row before it fucks up.

My remote was like $15 I think. I bought it for when I do studio stuff and need a cable release or for at night to avoid camera shake. Then I figured out how to be really vain and busted out with the self portraits.

nice gnomes, If you look at my right hand in my picture you can see I'm holding a wireless remote. I totally admire the fact that you can get a good picture aiming it at yourself, I have mine tripod mounted and prefocused/exposure set and blah blah blah

some randomness: this is one of a whole narrative of setting up studio lights one of the test prints for my Fundamentals final, "breaking the rules" I'm sure somewhere in some photo book it says, "Taking a thumbtack to the emulsion side of your negative is not a good idea..." Another self portrait, "The artist at any given moment." my room mate admiring "the wall." We rolled seamless backdrop paper on our wall and started writting on it, this was the very beginning now it's practically covered in random qoutes and dumb drawings. (4x5 contact print) I have some photos of the Minor Times I shot the other night, I'll post them later.

currently going to a trade school for photography, prior to that I was pretty much teaching myself. Hit up a book store and just start reading. I also work at a photo store processing and printing(all machines, push buttons adjust CMYK and such. But this evening I was just promoted to "DES" which I have no idea what it stands for but I sit at a computer and make peoples shitty photos look a little less shitty in photo shop. Wow, I'm building a resume.

onesec>> ditch that camera its a waste of time and money. Looks pretty neat but it will only produce shit. They're too small to produce quality images. If you want you use it go ahead but you should just stick with 35mm or go bigger(I suggest this, the quality is breath taking with a 6x7cm or 4inx5in negative)

wait, are you talking 110 regular film or polaroid film? if it's regular film don't waste your money. Its shitty quality and becoming increasingly difficult to have processed. And APS(advantix) is the same, shitty quality and just overall dumb. Rage- I would like to inform you that last night I ordered a pack of 84 film and a pack of 87 film. I'm rocking the square shooter later this week.

its finals time! I've lost my fucking mind and am suffering from light deprivation. I'll scan stuff as i get it done. 4x5>two 8x10s, high-key, low-key comp>4 to 8 prints fitting into three themes(reflections, pictures within pictures, many making up one whole) fundamentals>break all the rules(really fucking hard to do...) lighting>photo session, same subject two window lighting, two studio-hotlights, two enviromental Thus far all I have done is one of the planned 6 prints for my compositions class. FUCK.
