zen Posted July 23, 2002 Share Posted July 23, 2002 after reading just a few things on channel zero i would like to know the answers to the following questions: 1. what is hardcore? what kind of devil spawn music is this? it seems half of the people on this board listen to it and i have no idea what it is. got any examples of hardcore that i can listen to? 2. what is straight edge? is this the same as emo. if it is what the hell is emo? what is sxe? i assume the three are related. is it cool to be not cool now? 3. whats boogiehands? the guys got mad fame. thats all. i will be constantly updating this thread, because every day i discover silly things that make no sense. A good example of such a group is Men without Hats. 2. Sxe and emo are different. Straight edge is a religion practiced by porn stars and homosexuals which involves the taking of Zinc supplement pills to produce huge wads of cum. Emo is the struggle for ebonics to become officially taught in schools. and obvioulsy, thewse two are very much related. 3. seeking Posted July 23, 2002 Share Posted July 23, 2002 hardcore is a type of music. its somewhere between punk and heavy metal. instead of singing, theres often just alot of screaming, although not all the time. it usually doesnt have cheesey guitar solos like metal, and its alot harder than punk. its usually either political, or personal. straight edge is an offshoot of hardcore. straight edge people dont do drugs or drink. most dont smoke, but it happens on occasion. and yes, there are some sXe folks who dont have sex, but they are the minority and the extreme. sex does not make or not-make you sXe. boogie hands is.... well, they got that one. boogie hands is just boogie hands.
