RumPuncher
hey, so one of the drives in my xserve raid is going down. I got the system back up after a nasty crash, but now I can't find a way to 'make the drive a spare'. There's an amber light on the drive, and things seem to be running fine, but I want to replace that drive. the Raid Utulity doesn't connect to the rain or give me any options. So how do I remove the bad drive without fucking my raid? (and all the drives are striped to one set for HD playback) ^that's me on the left. help me out. RumPuncher
and want to hear the kicker.... all the drives in my raid are Hitachi 'Deathstars'. Why would mac put the most unreliable drive in their high end product?
