I just read about this yesterday, but I can't find the link. Or, search for it (see above). It's not denying me access right away, but it times me out whenever I try to load those pages. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I need to check my Gmail account. edit- It's a little weird that this happened right after I talked a whole bunch of shit about Comcast. Seffiks Posted November 28, 2007 Share Posted November 28, 2007 yep all has to do with the sandvain from what I have heard about sandvine, it uses heuristics on traffic patterns rather than inspecting particular packets, so it's definitely possible that it could transiently interrupt a connection thats not related to torrenting. can you get it to happen if you have no other network traffic? Do you know offhand if Google and other search engines use something that would trigger those RST flags Sandvine sends out? I don't see why they would, but... This is ridiculous.
