Cheddar Bob click this link and install it HijackThis

Click on the "Do a System Scan and Save a Logfile". DO NOT check anything! Just close the program.

Up will pop-up a notepad document. Select all of the text:

and paste it here let me take a look at what you got running see if you have any malware then we can go from there

Also, please include a description of your problem. i did not read all your post so im not quite sure when this issue started or anything

and by the way next time when you first see something going wrong do a system restore on your computer to be sure you will have a clean one restart the computer atleast 1 time a day when its running good

wait edit that do a system restore to before this started happening go to start/ run and paste this

%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

press enter when it comes up select restore and go back to when you had it runnig fine if it does not work then do the hijackthis thing

ok well on a fun side i got something for you kids in school that cannot get around them damned firewalls and block you from everything well this is what you can do

host a proxy server off your own internet connection during the school day

http://www.peacefire.org/circumventor/simp...structions.html

Ah yes it worked wonders for years during school. And its awsome when you sell the IP for $5 or so. And every once in a while get a new IP b/c you know people that you dont want to will get a hold of it.

No, I'm running two comps right now...one Linux, one XP, and checking the SLAX board for an answer to my ethernet question.

Unless SOMEONE (ahemcasekahem) wants to help....

Or Mainter...the UNIX guy...it's all the same to me.

Configuring a Microsoft MN-110 USB ethernet adapter to work in Linux is no joke if you don't have firmware to supprot it.

Basically, I think it's time to throw in the towel and buy a new PCMCIA cable for the ethernet card....I've had enough with this USB shit.

Too bad I'm fucking broke.
