Guest KephaOneLove Posted September 24, 2005 Share Posted September 24, 2005 just alittle tip for all you sketchers out there.. have numerous types of pens and markers when you do you outline...matter of fact when you do your sketch..you should have like 10-15 different pens and pencils layed out.. having a couple different ones with different thickness and styles can make you sketches that much cleaner.. ballpoints flow pens sharpies/semi dried out ones to can come in handy of course prismas/pantones are the best though fountian pens even those cheap ass walgreen markers are straight.. an all your office types.. ball points and sharpies work goo togather.. hope this is valuable information..peace :king: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kepha...good tips Especially with those half dead markers....I never trash them until they're completely drained. I've been sketching a lot with the skinny crayolas. They've got a great point...you can have a lot of fun with them. There color is kinda janky though and they smear a lot. The silver sharpie is a great invention too! (sorry bout the bad quality on this one) (Mad Props to Remedios Varo, i used one of her pieces in the above collage just because the shock it gave me was part of the motivation for the page. I use it only out of respect. This actually raises an interesting question I have. I obviously wouldnt try n sell a piece that had a sample of another artist's werk in it, but is that cool to use someone else's images in your werk as long as it's just for display purposes? I mean isnt hip hop music based on sampling the werk of other musicians? Does it werk the same with visual arts? Where do u draw the line? -xcuse the pun-) Much props to everyone postin their shit, the Chi is being very well represented on this thread.
