Soooooooooooooooo Here is the deal.... i saw a thread with this idea that sorta...didnt follow through and i thought HEY i can do that so here it is WESLY CRUSHER'S SKETCH OF THE DAY!!! anyhow, im going to be posting it in this thread for the first couple weeks just cause i dont want to start a thread for 1 sketch at this point i decided to try this out, for the simple fact that i wanted to see if i could do it, its not much of a challenge but it is one all the same. also in the end i want to look back and see 365 drawings done under these time constraints it just seems like an entertaining thing to do. What to expect: I will be posting a new sketch numbered each day for the next year both here and later in my own thread. all sketches will be colored but with varying degrees of detail depending on the day. if i can only spare a few minutes for whatever reason i may just bust some simples or a detailed throw but there will always be a new sketch for every day until this time next year. Not everyday will involve letters....there is just some days i dont want to do graffiti styles, but ya... look out for the thread starting in 2 weeks :D

yeah its niles. i will have mine up in the next couple days, bad weather and im saving up cans for a large production atm so no painting :P adding a couple sketches since this page has alot more talk than pics XD

I agree, 1000$ is perfectly reasonable, one of the canvases i posted here earlier sold for 1300$ you cant under appreciate how much art is worth, silo's characters are something that only come from her mind...and i dont know about you, but i think my mind is valuable

OBVIOUSLY NOT ME BUT..... was going through one of my old old old sketch books and found this little gem from 10 years ago :D crazy to think that was 10 years ago that was hung up in the gallery where the show with twist was...its funny to see my wack ass tag from 10 years ago on it

im glad it made sense over the years ive been places so secluded that its possible noone will ever see the walls, not even other writers except the few people who know of its existance and the pictures that come from it... im going to post so pictures of a spot, we called it treasure island, nothing but a foundation forgoten in the woods off a highway that most people would never travel, a friend saw it burried in roots and bushes while working in the area. now it has been cleared off and has a few layers of paint on it. this location will forever be imprinted on my mind, so calm and peacful, and such a great day with friends no board placed inside my comfort zone can fill me with these kind of memories. i hope these posts have helped to show people who dont have these experiences yet, just how great the experience of wall hunting can be.

thats how i feel about more traditional styles for me this one is much more simple, and it allows for me to make mistakes and cut corners and still come out with a visually appealing end product. i think it just clicks with how my brain works, dunno

to all the people on the previous page, talking about boards and stuff. DONT DO THAT the person who pointed out that you need to find a nice chill spot to practice was right. sure you can learn mechanics on a board in your backyard, there is technically nothing wrong with that. however, you are missing out on a basic aspect of taking part in this art form. and that is the exploration. as a writer you will be exposed to areas of your town that noone else is aware of, you will tune your senses and view your surroundings differently. go explore, hike through the woods, jump over fences, climb under bridges and get your feet dirty. no amount of practice can replace what it means to find your first spot, and be the person who holds it down. even if you are the only one who ever paints there, that is your piece of the city. and i dont want to see kids deprive themselves of that sense of accomplishment. or ignore what i say just a grown kid rambling anyhow

there is a green one for you this one i tried to make it into my name instead of just making it play with my letters. hopefully its more the color choice you'd enjoy as for seeing them before, they are a couple/few years old at this point, and ive posted them around the interwebs in the past so im not that suprised, im going through older stuff atm before i start to post current work
