i agree though, if it wasn't a musical instrument and was just a piece of home electronics where i wouldn't constantly be fucking with the settings to produce different sounds a loose knobs not a big deal.
-
nah it's real loose, like it feels like it will break off when i'm tweaking it. jiggling around and shit. also, i checked and it said seller does not accept returns on this item, so i think he might have been dodging my messages.
-
still shoulda told me that what he was selling me was sorta fucked up instead of claiming it was excellent working condition.

over the last month i've dealt w/ a paypal dispute.
i did a buy now, the guy claimed to have never received the order. he didn't respond to email or phone calls, and was super mad at me for not immediately closing the dispute when after two weeks he said he'd refund me. it took another two weeks of his bank recalling two refund checks. finally paypal fronted the refund.
aggravating, but i got my money back... i'd rather have just gotten the product.
at least you got your cash back tho. i dunno what it is with them not responding to messages either. i thought i was jumping the gun by opening a case before he got back to me, but i think 24 hours for an active ebay seller is plenty of time.

yeah i got a tat i'm not too proud of... drew it up when i was 17 and got it right after i turned 18.... it's the grateful dead skull with the lightning bolt in it, but since i drew it myself it's kinda lopsided.... anyone got any ideas for a cover up? someone already suggested a black panther wearing a crown with the lightning bolt in its mouth, but i was thinking maybe like a wizard playing a guitar if that's possible at all.

So in the past week I've gotten two defective pieces of equipment via ebay. First guy was real nice and took it back, but now I'm dealing with this fucking douche that sold me a synthesizer with a knob so loose that it feels like it's going to break off and he won't respond to my messages, so I opened a case with ebay telling them that the product wasn't in "excellent working condition" as he'd described it to be. Wondering how this is going to pan out. Bummer that they can take up to a week to get back to me, too.

Speaking of Primus, some of Les Claypool's side projects are great live. I was at the first Oysterhead show in NOLA in 2000 i think it was. Killer show. Then I saw em again at Bonnaroo in 2006 or 2007 and was VIP and Marc Brownstein of The Disco Biscuits was standing right next to me. Good time. Also Flying Frog Brigade, another Les band was sick at Gathering of The Vibes 02 back when they had it in Mariaville instead of Bridgeport, CT.

i guess she could go hunt with her bow and then cook you up a nice meal....

sweet. yeah i like that poppier shit, but i'm also into the slower melodic stuff like that boris song you posted or the Causa Sui. Anything like that with a growling melodic moog line would be amazing! Thanks!

that ltj picture reminded me of when i tried to see Devo in Pittsburgh last sumer and the show got cancelled because of the rain. huge waste of time.

it really depends on what you're looking for. if you're looking for psych rock that is similar to what psych rock was in the 60's, then I can't help you. I don't know if it even exists. Here's some psych stuff from today- if you like any of this I know others that are similar, just ask.
Also, psych rock uses more keyboards than synthesizers, so i'm just going to post a couple psych bands from today without worrying about that.
boris - heavy friends

entrance - grim reaper blues
sun city girls

Sgt. Sunshine
Causa Sui
You have to be careful with a lot of psych bands from today, and make sure you try before you buy. Most of these bands have songs that are just absolutely brilliant, and also have songs that make me cringe every time i am even reminded that the exist.
hope any of this helps.
thanks for the selections. here's some 60's shit with synth.
also, i know i've heard a psych band on m2 back in the late 90's before it was mtv2 using moog synthesizers that was pretty good wanted to see if anyone had anything like that.... i'm still making my way through your selections

all this mention of NOFX and warped tour makes me kinda sad that that was such a long time ago and I only got to go once. I remember some guy skating the halfpipe with roller skates lol.
-
recommend me some 90's-now psych rock that uses analog synthesizer please

santana
oh man how'd i forget that... saw him with Jeff Beck opening in i wanna say 1997, and then a few years later during the tour for the album that "smooth" was on.

Run DMC b4 jam master jay passed... got his autograph after the show (still chillin on the t shirt in my closet)
Phish... never was a fan until I saw em live.
The Dead with and without Jerry Garcia
Getting to see Peter Frampton doing the entire album of Frampton Comes Alive and then Slayer later this summer. Should be great times.
also... a bunch of other shit I've seen worth mentioning: Cypress Hill (ripped a 8 ft bong on stage right in front of the cops), My Morning Jacket, Bob Dylan, Crosby and Stills of CSNY, Leftover Crack, Sound Tribe Sector 9 with Mike Gordon of Phish sitting in for a few songs, The Disco Biscuits, Greg Allman (met him backstage and got my picture taken with him), David Byrne of the Talking Heads playing "This Must Be The Place" at Bonnaroo as soon as my E kicked in, Aesop Rock, tons more.

sweet thread. you got metallic, but you missed out on metal work. telescoping parts, robotic elements, rivets, gears, chains, locks, etc.
