    no layout as of yet, since you mentioned the weathering powders, i use earthtone chalk pastels and sand them off on the wheels and couplers after spraying them with a brownish gray acrylic wash to make it stick. a few times over... like this one

    airbrushed first a mix of geso, a little matte medium, water. a few times lightly over then made a stencil for the fill
