We had the 2nd Cleveland Skate Crawl on Saturday . We came across an underpass in the Flats , which is desolate now . It has huge potential , as someone " brought " about 15 jersey barriers and poured cement by hand which looked professional about 2 weeks ago . Note the shitty toy scribbles around . :lol: C.F.F.L.

Taken from skateandannoy.com , hope it helps you out . :cool: As for concrete, if you do not know what you are doing, stick with the premix sack-crete. These are bags that contain both cement and aggregate already mixed together. Mix the sack-crete with water using a shovel, either in a wheelbarrow or on a piece of plywood. Add water slowly so that you do not overdo it. The mixed concrete should have a rather dry consistency, but be well mixed. If you overdo it with the water, you can always add more dry sack-crete to stiffen things up. Keep in mind that wet concrete can and will burn the skin. Use protective gear such as rubber gloves and boots. To sculpt the concrete go out to a masonry store (or any hardware store) and buy yourself some tools. What you want is an eighteen inch long magnesium float and a twelve to fourteen inch pool trowel. Try these out and see how the work. Generally you use a float when the concrete is still soft to shape the surface and a trowel when the concrete gets harder to smooth the top surface. Just go for it, this is your do-it-yourself touch. When the concrete has fully hardened to a touch, you can cover the piece with plastic to keep addition moisture from evaporating too fast. The plastic will also keep people detoured from riding the final product. You should try to wait a week before you ride the finished product.

Old school quad roller skates are punk rock as fuck...:lol::cool: The Burning River Roller Girls have 4 Derby teams , a lot of them are friends and a few of them exes I dated , so it's all good . Some of those chicks hit harder than a dude , but you'd never guess .

This week between working & skating , my body finally let me know how old I really am . I would like to thank Motrin for helping me get by . :lol:

Cleveland Skate Crawl II coming up...lol Last year there were like 30 of us in the back of a 24' UHaul truck and Stosh ( Spitfire Saloon owner ) dropped us off about 10 miles away from Spitfire . We stopped at every shitty bar on the Westside until we made it back to Spitfire Saloon . Fireworks , gasmasks . taco fights , etc...I can only imagine how crazy this year's will be . This year we will have the Burning River Roller Girls ( Cleveland Roller Derby ) skating with us . How could you go wrong with hot , tattooed chicks that can drink & screw with the best of us ? :cool:

First of all DAO , this thing ain't built for doing 360 flips , or backside lipslides on a hubba . It's a Cruiser , nothing more . Yeah I hate most NEW decks that are made under 7.5" , but this doesn't count . Have you seen the Habitat Cruisers that have a cork top layer that doesn't require grip ? Those things are a lot of fun to ride . :cool:

I've always loved Creature the same way I love Antihero . Their boards are warriors for sure . One company I am disappointed with lately is Black Label . Their quality control fucking sucks , and their boards look as whack as Plan B last year . :lol: Funny how Plan B has to use Slayer album covers as deck graphics just to seel boards . Emergency Skates however still are sturdy as fuck . It's weird because Emergency is just an offshoot of Black Label . Oh well .

LOL....I'm 6'1" & tipping the scales at 215-220lb these days . I saw a picture of me when I was 17 and I was 170-175lb . :lol:

I think any older guy that has the amount of free and collected skate shit should share the wealth . There were a few people on this thread before the crash that I was planning on sending free crap out to , oh well .

So I took Evan ( my 5 year old ) to the skatepark to get in some skating before this storm that was due to hit in about 2 hours . There was some 15-16 year old iPod listening TPWF , but he was rocking " Manpri's " . Evan w/o me saying anything says to the kid , " Hey why are you wearing girl's pants ? You need to get some shorts like my Dad " . :lol: I was never so prouder of him than today . :cool: Some 13 year old kid thought I was sponsored by Independent because I was wearing an old Indy shirt , Indy sunglasses & Indy socks and not too mention old...:lol: I told him no , but went to my Jeep before we left and gave him an Indy hat I got for free at the skateshop . :cool:
