So I figured since this thread has made its return I might as well update my situation. Ever since I moved back to GA I have been revamping my workshop area this past year and accumilating a lot of tools to tinker with. %95 percent Harbor Freight tools but if you do your research on reviews some of there stuff is pretty good. Not too mention its nice to use a %20 coupon on a tool haha.

So what used to be a plain pole barn has been redone a bit with some acquired materials, almost all of it free. This is what the outside looks like now.

Ended up getting a direct power hookup instead of running off the house. Wired ten 120v outlets throughout where I work. wired two 220v for the kiln and a welder. Built the extension roof to smelt under during hot months, but its turned into a cover way to the new green house which will house my aquaponic system come the end of January.

Sadly with bringing the wall out the the end of the pole barn has left me with a dirt area, which I did fabricate a wood floor for but recently ripped it back up. Going to slowly concrete this in one section at a time and hopefully fabricate a good hood to take off the heat from my furnace and just smelt indoors....which is still risky haha.

Love my big work table in the middle. Got two of these blue print drawer things from my bro in laws work.

Got the welding table from my bro in laws work as well. For when I need some metal tools.

On the clay side of the studio. Had a bad leak destroying that far wall. I got a ton of glass (which I used for the green house) from a condemned home so the largest piece, 54x54 inches, I used to replace the wall. Brings in so much light. Moved the sink and put in an adjacent window on the back side.

I would love to have perfect shelves and matching everything but everything now functions as a makeshift setup. It works and is constantly evolving as I pursue different routes. Im sure once I find my direction I will be able to better the whole setup so that the main elements I use constantly can be readily accessed.

  2. Havent had this in a long while. Not sure what a "true" chicken Milanese is exactly, Im sure it just has to do with the chicken prep but oh well. So being Im greatly familiar with it being made topped with greens thats what I made for dinner.

Shicken topped with Arugula tossed in some champagne orange vinaigrette. Feta. Golden Raisin. Pecan. Red Onion. Tomato. Rice Blend. Quick and easy and now Im full. Phone flick.

  3. Thats awesome! Been wanting to give that preserves a try. Well I must say Ive been wanting to try selling them considering Ive made plenty. I usually have a stock load of figs in the freezer from the past summer. Blackberries were scarce this year and so were my grapes.

50million - love some eggs in a basket. Had some the other morning.

  4. So my bro in law calls me the other day and asks me if I would want some glass his work is about to trash. theyre a manufacturing company and make all kinds of things like cash registers, big metal things, basically all the crap you see everyday but never think about. So I get home from work the other night and see this glass all wrapped up and its heavy as crap. Come to find out its a bunch of sheets of some good tempered display case glass. Not sure what Im going to do with it yet but totally stoked to have it. Maybe make a coffee table or six. Was supposed to be for some pastry company, mine now, SCORE!

  5. Ive been slowly getting into aquaponics. I got a one barrel system going with 3 gold fish as a way of learning. But when the time comes to expand I have 15 blue barrels and one 330 gallon IBC tote. Found out my neighbor can bring me all the barrels I can get. I figured Id jump the gun and get things ready during the winter. Built a green house (picture of it unfinished) with some old windows and glass I got free from a condemned house.

I know we have a garden thread, but it doesnt seem to stick around. Ill cook the food I grow therefor makes post food worthy.

  6. A co-worker friend of mine came to me the other night and asked me to do something on her "thought bubble" thing. giggidy.

1 of 4 statements she wants me to do. I did this one rather quick. Kinda lost the style of type on some letters but for the average person it looks good.

  7. So a friend of the family is this older Korean lady and she made up some Kimchi for us. I have never had the stuff before so needless to say it blew my mind. So now we have a couple of mason jars worth in the fridge for when we have a craving. Last night was reasonably cold so I was craving a good hot soup. Threw some kimchi, shrimp, mushrooms, and egg noodles in a pot and called it dinner. Figured Id try the whole egg in soup deal that Ive seen others do as well. Green onions and sriracha. My head was sweating like a mo fo but damn it was good.

    I now crave kimchi

  8. Great stuff here as usual! That snowboarding one....GREAT, must spread rep.

Just got back from Ecuador, that country is awesome! I haven't even looked through all of my photos yet but this is one of my favourites! This used to be a volcano and it erupted a long time ago and collapsed in on itself and created this crater filled with the most beautiful water! Feels like you can touch the clouds how high you are!

    enough talk!

This post makes me think of how aggravating the advantages of my family can be. My grand parents were missionaries in Ecuador for years way back and even own a home there. My Gma has been dealing with the gov there this past year or so. Sadly my father wasnt born yet and his name isnt on the deed. My father is the only one interested in the property. Yet the home is built into the side of a mountain near a new resort. The gov wants the land. From what ive been told its a beautiful home, location, and amazing residence. Wish it could be kept in the fam but it cant...

  9. Man I must have missed a bunch. Started out dueling the DAO then realized hes an ignorant, arrogant, close minded, set in his ways, idiot. Which usually when someone spouts off as intelligent and then uses racial terms such as "nigga" I kinda write you off. Intelligent people can converse without slurs. Can we lock this threat already because its just spiraling into a race mess. Yet lols have and can be had.

  10. Thanks. Thats actually something I enjoy doing the most. I enjoy the loosey goosey over exaggerated calligraphy. I actually goofed and forgot one of the "O"s the first go around. I was quite pissed when I noticed lol.

  11. Hate that I never got a proper picture. Didnt this for a co-workers wedding. First multi type face thing iv done. Also the largest free hand thing, 2 x 4 feet. Not big but you know its usually sketch to wall or sketch to train. Ive never sketched to board lol.

  12. I mean at the end of the day when a wild animal has enough of what ever is going on their wild side kicks in. Its amazing that mankind still even does things like this. Its been proven to be a continuous cycle of "training" wild animals then the eventual death of someone which is usually the trainer. Or monkeys eating off peoples faces.

Yellow fever brought out a good point. I mean these whales will eat to their full in the wild, then hit a point where they play with their pray, and eventually return it to shore safely. Thats pretty messed up if you put that mentality in a human being. Its like the bear dude. The bears were tolerant of him but when the time came he wasnt considered as a bear, he was food or a threat. Animals loose their minds in cages. So youre taking a wild animal that already has the mindset of NOT being domesticated, forcefully "domesticating" it, and eventually it goes crazy. Again, put that mentality in a human and you have a psychopath ultimate killer.

  13. I kinda chuckled after the first sentence "A killer whale killed a trainer Wednesday afternoon" duh its a wild animal...and its name be killer.

It happened at an event called "Dine with Shamu," looks like Shamu had other dinner arrangements,

Exactly: "Jack Hanna, director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio, said he knew Brancheau and that she would want her work to continue.

"What happened is something that happens; it happens in our line of work," he said. "They are dangerous animals; they're wild animals."
