thanks man. I do wanna fix a few things with it though-it is kinda crooked and needs to be straighten. I also feel like with the factory, the trains, and the light trails there's a lot going on in the photo which is mainly why I wasn't sure how I felt about it.

thanks dude I have a 28mm 2.8 which I'll probably use next time I have to shoot in low light like that. I do wanna upgrade camera equipment next year and I was looking into getting a 50mm 1.4-what do you think would be better 35mm 1.4 or 50mm 1.4?

I tried firing off some photos at 800 ISO and it just wasn't cutting it. The ones I shot at 1600 def look better. I've shot a lot of bands but this was the first time I couldn't use flash so it was def all about firing off a lot of shots. I think I took 100 or so and I like how about 40 of them looked after editing. I guess it's just trial and error. Thanks for the advice!:p

So question for people on here that do event photography in low light with no flash. what settings do you generally use to shoot? i got to shoot slayer a few weeks ago and wasn't allowed to use a flash so i cranked my ISO up to 1600 and was shooting at 5.6 I feel like most of the pictures I got are really grainy when you zoom in where as I've seen other people shoot at that high of an ISO and their pictures look so crisp. maybe it's due to the fact that my camera is 4 years old at this point and i'm sure there's way better stuff on the market now. this is the best photo I feel I got of them...

Yeah I figured dude was just trying to fuck with me I was getting so pissed of the bad cop routine I was like look dude either ticket me or just let me go already. He let me go with a warning. Plus if he arrested me I'm assuming he would have had to call Oakland police to come take me away and something tells me it wouldn't even be worth their time to take someone in for trepassing in a train yard when they have better things to worry about.

Thanks man. The black and white train track shot was a great spot until I got busted there last week by a Union Pacific cop. Dude was such a dick about the whole thing-threatened to take my camera gear, arrest me, give me a trespassing ticket, etc. I'm figuring that particular yard is hot right now as I've flicked it before with workers around and no one has ever said shit to me. Glad he didn't take my gear though-I would have rather spent the night in jail haha. Luckily there's no shortage of other yards near me though :p

Anyone interested in buying a Nikon SB600 flash? Works great and comes in the original box. For some reason the manual is in Spanish, but I'm sure if you need the instructions you can probably find them online if needed. Selling it for $150. Or if anyone has a used Tamron 10-24mm lens for a Nikon they wanna sell get at me. I smashed mine today and took it to get repaired and they told me it was gonna be at least $250 to fix plus 4-6 weeks til I get it back and I really can't go that long without a lens.

Anyone on here gonna be at Fun Fun Fun Fest this weekend in Austin? I leave tomorrow and I'm shooting for Amp magazine and I'm stoked. The only thing that sucks is since the main bands are so big this year (Slayer, Danzig, Public Enemy, etc) they were only selecting certain photographers to shoot the big bands and I didn't get selected :( However I am stoked to shoot the rest of the fest :p Also if anyone on here lives in Austin or knows Austin at all can you point me in the direction of some train yards to shoot? I'm hoping to get some graffiti pics while I'm there too.

Thanks dude. My show isn't until Jan, so I have a bit more time to get some shots together for it. I already have like 5 or so shots I wanna use picked out and I'm showing 15-20 so I have a bit to get some more pics together. Luckily I have some shots in mind that I wanna go take for it. The show is gonna be in San Francisco, so when I get more info about it I'll be sure to post it here. I know a few people who post in here live in the bay area and it would be cool to meet them in person.

I haven't posted in awhile mainly because I haven't really shot anything outside of graffiti lately and also I got asked to be in a photo show in Jan so I'm trying to save some photos for that (I need 15-20 shots for the show) and I just wanna have exclusive photos that I haven't posted online before. I was hoping to get a roll back today and have some new ones for here tonight, but of course I have shit luck and my film got misplaced and they're trying to track it down. Sorry for the huge rant haha. Anyway I just wanted to say what's up and nice work to everyone as always and hopefully I'll have something to post soon!
