  1. i enjoy when people get all pissy.

just look at em through the windshield and laugh.

maybe flip em the bird and then laugh more.

i mean where the hell are you going anyway?

    people just need to reLAX.

the world would be lots nicer.

    one love.

  2. colnago and pinarello need to get their colors right.

some of the ugliest themes ever.

blue to white to orange fade.

    wtf? get some color theory.

    otherwise killer bikes ruined.

    keep it clever.

  3. i say assert your right to take a full lane.

if you dont you are endangering those that insist on doing so.

    cyclists i mean.

i have found that it is safer to ride in the loop than in the burbs

because of the number of assertive cyclists in the loop (chicago).

drivers are looking out because if they dont they are much

more likely to hit a rider and end up with a problem.

in the burbs though cars dont give two shits and you get

ignorant motherfuckers yelling stupid shit at you.

my favorite are people who stop across cross walks and

park across sidewalks makes me want to straight broadside them

but then i am on a 15 pound bicycle and they are in a car.

    whatever.

    yeah tour de france.

    go lance.

    dudes name is lance.

    one love.

  4. has anyone taken the decals off of an 05 bianchi pista?

is there a clear coat over them?

    one love.

ps - the plan is to take off the 'pista' on the top tube if it isnt too intensive

  5. lately i have been finding silverfish and even earwigs in my apartment,

which gets sprayed once a month by the management as building policy.

i live in central illinois and it has raining lately, so i think the spring/summer

mixed with the rain has been making them act weird, otherwise i dunno.

but i do have a great dislike for both so it isnt too cool.

    peace.

  6. just thought up this little nugget:

    the left has energy.

    the right has power.

    nothing to do with london.

everything to do with the continued SF-1 / Kabar2 debates.

although it really isnt a debate because

    SF-1 is often rather embarassing

    and kabar often seems disengaged.

    one love.

  7. Then:

    + rollerblading

+ sagging my old navy khakis

    + driving recklessly

    + bageling peoples lawns

    + straight egding

    + punk rocking

    Now:

    + fixed gear riding

    + tight pants wearing

    + graffiti writing

    + politicking

    + pot smoking

    + indie rocking

it is fun to grow up.

    peace.

  8. sense of humor required.

figured someone with the name sarcasm

might have an appreciation for the namesake.

    wear what you like.

    one love.

When control of the Democratic Party was attained by the Left, in the early '70s, the younger conservative Democrats and the expelled older Dixiecrats had nowhere to go but the Republicans.

the left has never controlled the democratic party.

the two presidents i can call to mind that even resembled

anything close to leftist were FDR for his econ policies

and LBJ for his social/civil rights/poverty policies.

otherwise i would advise continuing to use liberal,

although that term has been bought and sold so many times,

to describe the "left-leaning," read centrist, wing of the dems.

    but whatever. somantics.

i get your point kabar and i concur.

however i do not believe that parties

ought to be fighting over constituencies.

    parties ought to represent platforms,

possibly the biggest problem with the dems

being that they do not have one currently.

    at no time should a candidate be selecting constituents;

    constituents ought to elect candidates.

careerism is ruining party politics, which already ruined democracy.

whatever, it feels good to be cool headed about all this

and not really care whether or not i convince kabar to agree with me.

i guess it is the difference between being a seventeen year old leftist

and a twenty three year old leftist, things get a little clearer.

some of you ought to relax.

    one love. ;)

  10. this may be absolutely against etiquette

but i have a btown freight post called

"i went to college and i saw"

if you wanna see more catches.

it is probably pretty buried by now.

sorry if i am breaking the rules.

    peace.

Most of my relatives voted the straight Democratic ticket ever since the Civil War. My grandfather would have been appalled to know his grandson is a Republican. The Democrats have nobody to blame but themselves. If they don't like the results, then perhaps they should change. Or not.

admitting your parents have voted dem since the civil war implies that the civil war changed their views, which i would the assume (yeah i know assumptions) means that your relatives were anti civil war or at least anti results of said war which i suppose isnt that hard to believe if you are of a southern heritage. but being that i am not it is hard for me to get my head around that.

i also have no doubt that the general image of the parties has changed since then.

a modern republican claiming any lineage to a republican abe lincoln is hard for me to accept.

but again perhaps i am simply not thinking hard enough.

    no disrespect kabar.

    me for supreme court justice.

tell the prez to gimme a call.

    peace.

ps-- party politics destroyed democracy. ask james madison.
