  1. I love licorice. I used to hate it when I was a kid, but something happened one day and all of a sudden fresh spinach, onions, and licorice were things that I now liked alot, though not in the same meal.

Good old fashioned black licorice is so goddamned good.

  2. Re: things black people like

ANyone talking in the fucking movie theater should be shot in the face right there.

Black people are not alone in this, although in Boston it was mostly black teenagers trying to get a bunch of attention, with the occasional drunk townie in the mix trying to be funny for his date.

News flash. SHUT THE FUCK UP IN THE MOVIES!!! They're way too fucking expensive and you aren't funny. "oh no he di'in't" is not approipriate everytime someone gets shot, says something rude, or gets killed by the monster in the picture.

    SHUT UP.

  3. People like renaming things because in their mind the thing doesn't sound cool enough so they need to make it cooler. Hence "slaptags". Apparently you can't just call it a sticker or a label.

Fucking kids always gotta tart shit up. Just be happy calling it what it is. A sticker or a label. Thats fucking fine. You don't need to make it sound more notorious or edgy than it is.

Second off, "capping" is gay. Yes its a reference to CAP MPC. Obviously, but he didn't coin it. Some douchebag in his bedroom came up wit it trying to once again make things sound cooler than they are.

Fucking christ. How hard is it to say "dis" or "rag". Trying to justify a phrase by saying that it means dissing with throw ups and ragging is dissing with tags makes no sense. Pretty sure CAP did tags over people too.

Just call it beef. Thats all.

    Stop gaying eveything up.

  4. Well...perhaps basic is a better word. Even so, I just never felt drawn in. The characters of Plainview and Eli were both superbly done, as was essentially all the acting, but I felt as if events were sort of just pieced together randomly. Perhaps that was the point, as it was a loose biography of sorts, but I felt a little more...direction? would have done it well. Like I said, I enjoyed the movie, but I didn't find it a cinematic tour de force. To each their own.

Edit: I may have also gone in with a biased opinion because I had heard from most everyone that it was fantastic, and an epic movie. I may have liked it better if I had just gone and seen it for myself. Again, a decent movie, just not amazing.

I completely understand about going in with expectations based on what you hear. I tend to, no matter what, go into it with the idea that everyone before me who saw this is a retard and they could be correct about weather it was great or not, but it's jut coincidence if they are, because...well they are retards and retards just like to babble on with their tongues hanging out.

I feel that word of mouth completely ruined Blair Witch for people who hadn't seen it yet also. When someone tells you it's the scariest movie you've ever seen, then you immediately rate it to the scariest stuff you have already seen and expect it to have some sort of context in that range.

So when you go into the movie and it's 99 percent akward camera perspectives and annoying people bitching at each other...you're like ...."when is this supposed to be fucking scary".

Thats the exact opposite effect that the movie had on the people who saw it with out knowing anything about it. They were just watching something. Some random assed people...slowly relating to them even in their worst moments, and then....BOOM.

You can't explain that to people correctly.

Sometimes word of mouth ruins the movie.

  5. Know this, and it's not an insult when I say this, it's the truth.

Every 17 year has their head up their ass. Every single one of them. You just don't know shit yet.

It's good you are wondering what to do, but don't look at things in terms of wo made more in a year. Look at it like this.

What else can dude do when his body wears out and the seasons are slow?

If you're educated, things can get hard also, but you have a better chance in switching fields later on than you do with a labor job like painting and decorating.

Just go back to school, be smart, keep your head own and learn your ass off.

Later on you will thank me for it, and agree with my opening statements.

  6. I don't know how you could say the plot was thin. I didn't find it flimsy at all. It may have been more on the basic side as far as plots got, but in this movie, if it were more complex for complex sake it would have been too muddled.
