i bougt some magnets recently to attatch to the bottom of my cans, and they didnt work. do all cans have metal mixing balls, or do some still use marbles. by the way im using the .98 wal-mart paint.(too broke for anything else right now)

i assume most writers on here come from the city where they have been exposed to graffiti since a young age. i myself live in a small midwestern town in ohio where i am one of two graffiti artists. for those of you who live in an area devoid of graff, how do you find your inspiration...i personally use 12oz.

well, what do you all think about marc ecko shirts and what-not. personally i have 3 of them that i wear, and i used to have a couple tribal gear shirts. i dont try to promote that im a writer, because in the extreamly small town i live in noone would really make the connection. i just feel that i am supporting my craft. but some see it as selling out/mainstreaming...thoughts?

ive been at it for 8 years now, im 23, so yea im sure it will be something that i will keep up with. maybe in a new area, after i crush the shit outta this one, but yea for sure.

graffiti has always been a part of the music(hip hop and rap) scene, but here recently i have see two videos out of this genre that have had a bunch of graffiti in them. john mayers new vid, and some new chick named joss stone. what are your thoughts on mainstreaming graffiti?

i went bombing with this dude for the first time once, and he did nothing to lower his voice. i was hushed and wispering and his voice was just fucking booming. dont really paint with him much anymore, but i got a crew mate that i paint with on a regular basis.

as a matter of factly, she kinda dabbles in graffiti also. not with paint, but she loves to hit up oneliners in bathrooms with kingsize sharpie. yup, totaly cool with the whole idea. she even helps me on bombing missions too, scares the fuck outta her, but she has went before.

well i just figured they would see it in the house and see me blackbooking and just ask one day. i dont think i will need to just come out and say it.

if these were all taken by you then i give you props for braving the snow the get them. i live in ohio and its been really fucking cold lately.

does anyone have a flick of seen's hollywood sign. i saw it in a book(think it was spray can art by henry chalfant) and have not been able to find it since. i tried to google it but came up with nothing. thanks.

my wife and i are currently trying to start a family and i told her that i would not stop painting once we had a child. but the question crossed my mind that once my children got to a certian age and showed an interest in graffiti, would i pass my knowledge on to them? i think i would keep the tradition alive into my offspring. what do you all think about it?

i know i was bombing on jan. 1 @ 3:30 in the a.m. so i feel that 07 is going to be a good year for me and graffiti.

its just my curiosity thats all. i just know that graffiti transends the racial barrier, and i just wanted to know what the race the general population of 12oz. was. and i could sit here and say that im not a cop(which im not) but im sure that you all will believe every word of it so whatever.

as a matter of fact, i have someone working on a rig just like what you are describing. i also got the idea from Getting Up and i dont think it is stupid at all. i have mine measured to fit underneath a zip up hoody. not only is it useful for being inconspicus(sp) while carrying paint, i figure it will also be good for racking.

if youre serious, ill give you my information. on another note, i will try to do my research more to find out which ones work.

i was wondering if anyone knew what you could be charged with if you get busted for graffiti. i looked vandalism up in the ohio revised code and it had many deffinitions. could they slap you with destruction of property, criminal damaging...ect. and what about if a cop stops you when you are walking with your paint and shit in a bag. do they have probable cause to search you if noone saw you spraying? thank in advance! later!
