do record companies even have any idea what they are doing anymore? i mean what the fuck is going on. they have made pop a dirty word. remember the days when michael jackson made a record like off the wall or thriller and it was the fucking greatest thing ever? now you have manufactured morons like nsync, all these blonde bitches and fucking avril whatsername making soul-less throwaway music. who the hell is going to be listening to shakira in 20 years time? for crying out loud, mtv used to be something to watch. remember the video for sledgehammer by peter gabriel? that was the DOPEST video ever. now videos are just a fashion show. it's sickening. fuck this shit, and fuck that stupid bitch up there. she should have stuck to modelling and saved the world from her bad music

but think back to the days of yore. there was no such thing as 'mainstream' or 'underground' if a band was good a record company gave them a deal, and you could go buy their music. the beatles, jimi hendrix, the doors, james brown...these were all 'mainstream' acts in their day and they made some of the greatest music ever made. why the hell has that changed? it was working back then, but now we're sold garbage by the major labels who (in alot of cases) were built off the backs of artists like these.
