does anyone know any graphic programs, i.e. photoshop or whatever, that have a tool that crops to the outline of an image... basically what i want to do is get a picture, drag a marquee over it and then use the tool that crops to the edge of the main picture in the photo

    does that make sense?
if anyone can help can you please tell me a suitable program and where to get it if possible

    thanks alot
    peace-:D

dude, have you ever done any sort of image editing at all? Pretty much everything has a crop tool. If you have a PC, you can use Microsoft Paint to do that...it comes with your computer. If you have a Mac, I'm sure there is an image editor that comes with it also.

    *p.s. it's "cropping" not "croping"

yea i have corel photo paint... and microsoft paint (surprisingly!) but neither have a automatic crop... i know you can crop by following the edges with the crop tool but i want to get a tool that is more precise and does it automatically... see what i meen?

if you're looking to crop non straight edges.. ther is no automatic tool. the magnet lasso photoshop is the closest you'll get.

if you want it for free.. find an ftp off irc... but something tells me you arent capable of that, so go to download.com and d/l irfanview.. it's a pretty powerful shareware program.

just d/l photoshop from kazaa or DC or morpheus. you can make clean borders and cutomize them to your liking without worrying aabout cropping in photoshop by going to:
    Layer>>Layer Style>>Stoke
