Does anyone have PSP? Are they good? I'm thinking about getting it and littlebigplanet cuz stuff is cheap right now.
Also, does anyone play super smash brothers brawl, online?
Oh you live in smillwaukee?
madison is a stretch. but um yeah I wanna go to turner hall. A lot of peopel tend to be at the rave but I hear its a bit well...messy. Not up for that.
how the fuck did you know my sta-...oh. Milwaukee thread. oneida seems to get corny people. Like barry manilow. We do get some nice acts but the venues are meeeeh. I could always go to chicago with no problem but i have to be 17+ to get into most places. nuckin futs
And yes the term nu jazz i a little cliche.
No a lot of notorious acid jazz bands did start to blend or change after a while which is unfortunate. I think for some of them it was because of the labels they were on.
Can this also be considered a nu jazz thread? Or is that pushing it?
I tend to think Nujabes is more Hiphop than acid jazz or trip hop. I dunno that's just my opinion.
@Earl I usually Think of Grover Washington mostly as smooth jazz, probably because i'm so used to hearing him on our smooth jazz stations. They wear him out. Most smooth jazz begins to sound the same after a while I detest it.
Well the thing is, Funk has a really distinct sound most of the time. Acid Jazz kind of confuses people because it sounds like funk but it can be softer and have a stronger jazz element to it. Acid Jazz is a confusing genre, lol.
I love Masters at Work. Especially their more housey type stuff.
Nuyorican soul pushes onto house levels but I think for the most part they're still considered acid jazz.
That EBN is nice, too.
Mondo Grosso: Big in Japan but still well known in the West for Acid Jazz.

I've been listening to Incognito since I came out of the womb. My mom was really into the Acid Jazz thing so I grew up with stuff like The Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Swing Out Sister etc etc. Plus she owns all of their CD's.
Well I know Acid Jazz has some house elements but it still more jazzy than house... Incognito is hard to tell with though, because within a lot of their albums have some unmistakable house-esque type tracks. Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between Acid Jazz and Soulful/Deep house but usually its not that hard.
