That's another thing, who gets to decide who is on the list? Your crazy ex calls the cops and says you threatened her, doesn't matter you didn't, you go on the list. then even after your name is cleared in court, if it is, you still have to get your name taken off the list. How do you even go about that? I don't know and I had an FFL 03.

All joking aside the American people, in general, are thrilled by that fact. The talking heads and warmongers in congerss are the only ones calling it a "debacle". But they have been paid to, so I'm not surprised. Cant let their corporate masters lose out on all that pipeline money.

i went to a bbq one time and in the basement, they'd modified an old video arcade game and put a hard drive in it, hooked up a monitor, so you could play all the old classics on it, donkeykong, pacman and miss pacamn, all that shit
That's called a "MAME" it stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, they are pretty cool. I helped a friend build one a few years back. I built the cabinet and he did all the technical stuff. All the Street Fighters, Capcom VS. Marvel, all that shit in one machine.

PTSD is a blanket diagnosis but isnt just one size fits all set of symptoms. They range from agoraphobia to depression to panic attacks to anxiety to hyper-vigilance. The VA and military medical communities are throwing a PTSD diagnosis at everything. "You were in the air force and heard out-going, you have PTSD." Shit, they tried to stamp me with that shit when I got out of the Navy because the plane crashes, flightdeck fires and dismemberments I was around.
There already has be a rash of incidents where vets that have sought help from the VA have had Sherrifs show up at there door with a letter signed by a VA Dr saying "this guy is a danger to himself and others take away his guns." Catch was most were not falling in to those categories, most were going in for things like not being able sleep, or getting freaked out in crowds or the overwhelming survivors guilt. PTSD is something that, for most, fades with time. Unfortunately once you're on a list like that it's almost impossible to get off of it, ever.
Furthermore to say this guy was a "combat vet, suffering from PTSD" is utter bullshit. He was an aircraft electrician, that did one deployment in the Navy. If he is a combat veteran then I am a fucking delta force shadow operator. Dude was crazy long before he ever put on a uniform, and it ended up getting him an OTH (other than honorable) discharge. How he ever got any kind of security clearance after that is baffling to me.

Anyways I deliver...
Did exactly what I told him to do. Kids came up to him and the ringleader tried to grab his lunch (in a bag now because, ya know, no lunch box), my son clocked him dead in the nose. He started leaking, cowered in to a ball and started crying. The other 2 tried to rush him and my step-son blindsided them at a full run and put one on his ass. The third, realizing he no longer had the advantage, bravely ran away.
I had told them if somebody is more interested in pushing, shoving and running their mouth they aren't really looking for a fight, they are just looking for easy pickings. You give them all the fight you can muster from the start. A good right cross to the nose will take the wind right out of their sails. If not, well, make them earn the win.
Funniest part, the other kids are the "victims" in all this. I had a great poker face up until that stupid bitch (the principal) wanted me to make my boys apologize to the other kids. I laughed in her face and and told her "Not a fucking chance, those kids where being bullies and it backfired on them, serves then right." I collected my boys and went and got ice-cream.

Just got a phone call from the school to come pick up my son and step-son, they are being suspended for a week. I'm pretty sure it's for fighting.
Back story: They came home yesterday with out their lunch boxes, apparently some 5th graders (they just started 4th) took them, and my boys didn't do anything to stop them. So I had to have the "Never let yourself get punked, even taking an ass whipping is preferable to getting punked out." talk with them. I also told them I would never punish them for defending themselves or each other or their sister. So I'm off to see what happened.

Just got to work to start a dreadful day of nonsense conversations and illogical decisions.
"Doing more pointless bullshit, twice, before 0900 than most people do all day." I do not miss that shit, in the slightest.
Woke up, had a nice cup of tea, hooked up omelets for the kids, dropped em at school then hit the gym. Doing laundry now. It's a hard life being a house husband, but somebody's gotta do it.
