  1. i dont need to pass the time. i enjoy being on trains.

    THIS.

i wonder how many train kids started riding trains because they grew up with tracks in their back yard, or had a family member in the industry and always loved trains...

  2. well if we get to talk about racist situations at work...

i worked at party city as extra help for the halloween rush, week of halloween that store was literally PACKED. HAD to be a fire hazard. anyways, during halloween theres a wall with little pictures of all the costumes, with numbers. theres 2 workers with walkie talkies who radio back the numbers people want to the back room, with all the costumes. back room was my job. it was cool cus we could raise hell and whatnot, well part of my jon was to run the costumes out, and id yell the numbers real loud and give em to whoever got to em first.

well when 3 people call the same costume, and theres only one left, you give it to who gets it first. so naturally i wouldnt give the costumes to the ghetto black girls cus they just end up trying it on and dumping it on the floor instead of putting it back in the package. well i got called on it a LOT. shit was funny. and my boss pretty much just told them to get the fuck out of the store.

also, when a big group of black girls with like 8 baby carriages would walk in, the manager (for shits and giggles) would get on the intercom and say "security scan on isle 12, 14 and 18 (we only had 10 isles)" and wed watch all the black people leave the store.

    kinda fucked up.

  3. tapping it to your leg is necessary, they can easily ask to search the bag as you're leaving.

worked at a ski shop for a few years it was a seasonal job that i did mostly for discounts on snowboard shit for myself and friends.

wrapping snowpants around your waist and goggles in the crotch were my go to moves.

because it was a secondary job i really didnt give a shit and would always burn on my way and while working.. i got a few warnings about having a distinct odor about me but no trouble over it.

unfortunately for me they went out of business and i havent had any new snowboard stuff since :(

damn, yall must live in hood ass cities.

  4. Passes the time.

    so does a book.

and a book wont leave you dehydrated as fuck on a line where you MIGHT get stuck for a couple of days with nothing more then what you packed.

  5. I had that same boss once...during one of his magnanimous phases he hinted that I could be a partner in the company. Looking back I probably should have pursued it but I probably would have been fired long before that ever happened.

i worked for a dude screenprinting, he actuallly had the most established and successful business in town (in the small complex of storage unit like buildings he was at, there was 8 other screenprinting shops to put it into prospective) and on my first day gave me the key to the shop and dipped out 3 hours early and told me to lock up. and he would always go on about how if i stuck around for a year or so i could take over the business cus hes getting old.

and now im REALLY suspicious of employers who "like" their employees.

  6. ^^^

didnt catch the whole interview on attack of the show but i beleive the fat dude from jay and silent bob wrote (he did SOMEthing critical to the movie) red state, so considering he doesnt really do that, not too shabby.

    this any good?

i downloaded the movie but i think i gotta hunt for subtitles, and id rather not waste my time if it sucks.

  7. i shaved with that dr bronners soap, the hippy 18 in 1 shit. tryin to think of the 18 uses and so far all i got was soap, bodywash, shampoo, toothpaste (you seriously can brush your teeth with the peppermint flavor), shaving cream and lube.

    but anyways, it was alright.

  8. i think its more of a response to the lack of evolution in cycling today. sure, everything is getting lighter, stronger, faster, but there havent really been any radical design changes lately. except for track bikes turning into bmx bikes. fixie kids got bored with skids, and just about every modification you can do to a fixies probably been done, so some asshole saw an old keo vid and decided to try it, and all his super cool friends saw him, and before you know it youve got a bunch of 26 inch fixies that look like oldschool beachcruisers more then anything else.

i dont know, who gives a fuck. im just glad steel is making a "comeback" and someone came up with those strap frs things.
