yeah thanks for the support folks. Phase one is being built regardless and will be done in july. if you looked at the rendering phase 1 deals with the street section up to the "stage", or the stair set with a roof. Hopefully we get some backing and the construction of phase 2 & 3 continues, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting the pepsi grant.
and a small contribution to the thread. heres a little clip i made of mostly digi cam footage from last year.

Thanks for the votes and thanks for pointing that out sneekatoke. We started this thing off in third and held it for two weeks...then just watched it drop and have been stuck in eleventh for a while now. part two of the field ops is up on the berrics and explains a little more about the park.

I haven't been to this site in years and hate to leave spam as a return post but...
My city and local shop are currently building a skateplaza. We have funding for the first phase and are diligently trying to get support/funding for the second and third phase. Right now we are trying to win the pepsi refresh grant that would make it possible to finish phase two and are in need of votes to do so. the plaza is an hour from philly and an hour and a half from ny. you can check out the project at www.homebase610.com or check out the field ops on www.theberrics.com. if you have a second to lend a vote you can do it at http://www.refresheverything.com/bethlehemskateplaza. Thanks for your time and any and all help is appreciated.

Well... i learned axel stalls and 50 50's. I learned rock to fakie and rock and roll. I learned nollie pops and fakie pops. What should I go for? preferably not 5-0. thats giving me a hard time.
frontside rock and rolls, frontside 50-50's, basically frontside tricks in general. Thats always my hang up on transition anyways, i learn all the backside tricks because they are more natural then it's hard to learn things frontside.

60% before you, switched ips and another 60 after you. It almost looks clean

Theo Jansen: kinetic sculptures

...and another 40% on the one. As i was cleaning someone was right behind me with more crap. anyone else out there?
-
used about 160% on the 2 alone. is there a key shortcut for straight lines on a mac?
-
just saw this on crailtap. at least it'll be a skate contest and not an extreme game this time around.
-
so half of the one is missing and i'm at an ip with only 5% ink.

Just got back from the local skatepark and the grumpy old man in me finally surfaced. Nothing worse than eating shit on what is usually an every try make just because johnny scooter champ likes to mosey around the flat bar...not doing "tricks" mind you, just cruising about and gawking at the "big dog" scooter scoots trying front flips over the fun box. And while a front flip on a scooter is, i'll admit, a fucking amazing feat. It's still nothing one should aspire to, let alone gawk at while other people are trying to skate. I'm talking grown men on razor scooters. That said, heres a little article on skatepark etiquette that should be printed out and posted at every janky skatelite (sp) park in your area.
http://www.interstatemag.com/2008/02/skateboarding_etiquette_101.html
and in line with the above posts. It's all about cotton dockers regular fit...in with the out. jeans no matter what size are uncomfortable.

phhh you serious? little kids dont have style its obvious. they are so short and the boards are so big they have control but no style. that kid did back five0 fs shuvs out on a handrail. that is fucking dope. but man just so short little kid style. I will just watch lavar mcbrides part.
and come on fuck that that kid has nothing on mariano in blind video even mariano had style as a young buck. and with a bigger board. yeah mariano wasnt jumping down hand rails but shit i would rather see a back 360 into a bank to begin a line then a handrail banger. Dont get me wrong nyjha will be murdering shit with style when he grows up some.
So i watched the video again thinking i might have missed something, i even checked out video days which i haven't seen for like 13 years but nope...the kids still dope in my book, and still reminds me of Mariano in the sense that he skates on a seasoned pro level at the age of 13, i think guy was 14 at the time of filming video days. As for style, dude's got style, the hurricane grind, smiths and feebles got as much style as a Hosoi christ air (maybe thats stretching it a little but point made). the backside fifty fifty on the hubba is to note as well. True he's small, but he skates fast, consistently puts out better parts, and doesn't half step on anything. Even his ledge lines are decent and with a controlled push. the only thing that is lacking is pop on his flip tricks...dude floats down like four stairs before catching anything. and flatground his board hits the ground first sometimes. I just can't bring myself to knocking the kid cause he's got short legs. My opinion.
One thing we at least all agree on is that he will for sure be killing it when he gets older, distractions aside.
