  1. Ive been writing my name in my city for about 8 months now but at the end of the summer I am moving to Boston to go to art school. I randomly found a kid on myspace that has the same name as me and he lives in NY. He's about the same skill level as me, maybe a bit worse. anyway I know Boston and NY aren't that close but I do have freinds there that I'll want to bomb with and I wanted to get some opinions about how I should handle the situation. I really don't want to change my name, so I guess adding a number is my best option? EDIT: I don't write Defy so don't say "oh Defy's taken you fuckin toy" or some shit like that.
  2. I was talking about what isle. most kids would be smart enough to figure most of the shit you need to make ink is from an art supply store. but yea just for shits, It's in the scrapbooking isle, and they have gold too.
  3. Krink is a waste of money and you can get silver ALCOHOL based ink at Michaels that flows perfectly throught any valve marker. I'm not telling you where though.
  4. exactly. if you're using Krink you're already toy.
  5. my bad, double checked my stash and it's royal blue.
  6. I can still get harbor blue in the 8oz cans at wall mart. and they definitely couldn't use the money.
  7. shit bro I'd buy alkl that shit the second I saw it. and when I say buy it I mean put all of them into my bag and pay for 1.
  8. read the. first. page. you should never put brake fluid in paint.
  9. anybody know what iodine is better: the stuff you get at CVS or the stuff you get at the petstore?
  10. the site says they can't ship outside the UK unless it's an ebay item.
  11. if you actually have candy ink then that's what it is. Candy has mad acetone and will melt most markers/kiwis.
  12. tee juice is a fabric marker with the same body as an oink mop. but the nib is really really shitty. if you want a nib like the oink one go rack a window marker from party city. Same body and good nib,
  13. if you used the shit inside the tee juice marker as you ink then no. that shit's just dirty water. Sharpie's also pretty useless when it comes to inks. I'm not sure what the red bottle is but if it's india ink/acrylic then it's shit and useless.
  14. if you mean what i think you mean than I agree, I think what your saying is something along the lines of figuring shit out for yourself? If so then I definitely agree, I didn't/don't endorse that kids videos, When I said buff tests provide info on paint I meant the ones you should be doing on your own mixes ( i know you do but I'm talking about everybody with home brews)
  15. I agree with some of this and disagree with a lot. first any oil based paint mix will be permanent and not fade if nobody tries to buff it, but it is important that it can give the buff a rough time because eventually, someone will try to buff it. second, just cause it's paint, does not mean you should be able to scratch it off with your fingernail. Krink doesn't scratch off and neighter does GK. They don't rub off like Junobo either. Junobo flakes right off of shit like it's latex or something. (I know it's not, so chill) third (sorta),Buff tests do provide some info on paint. some paint mixes are harder to buff than others. for example, the artist paint recepie (1/3 white rusto, 2/3 thinner and a tube of artist oil paint for the color) is buffed much more easily that the classic GK recepie of 2/3 rusto and 1/3 thinner because the artist paint is not designed to stand up to outdoor conditions. That's why you gotta love polyurethane. aight I'm done rambeling.
  16. Krink is ink now, when arromark started making all of his stuff they changed te recepie from paint to ink.
  17. ok here's a couple new recepies floating around on BS (they aren't mine) hard staining recipie: by Bizerk 3/6 Oil stain 1/6 raven oil 1/6 wood stain 1/6 feibings or griffin leather dye or ridge ink. with 1/2 potassium permanganate 1/2 black cherry coolaid powder as adative. half a bottle cap of each and 2 drops of fish oil. some others: OUTDOOR STAINING INK Any Color Woodstain- Oil based Mineral Spirits a few fish oil tablets -------------------------------------------- INDOOR STAINING INK Red Fiebings 3 Fish Oil Tablets Solvent Red 24 Red Pen Ink And maybe a little alcohol if it's too thick Blue Fiebings 3 Fish Oil tablets Methylene Blue Solvent Blue 38 Maybe some pen ink and alcohol aswell --------------------------------------- GHETTO DED 1 bottle Fiebings Purple 1 bottle of Purple PVC Primer Gentian Violet 3 Fish Oil tablets And some Solvent Violet 8 and ASDV don'y jump on me for the "ghetto DeD" I know it's not as good and I didn't name it... just reposting it cause this thready is pretty shitty recently.
  18. 1. wrong thread 2. if it's house paint it's probably water based so you thin it with water 3. "brake fluid/thinner"? what the fuck? those are 2 very different things. 4. if it is oil based paint the recepie you need is on the first page of the ink thread. 5. die
  19. I got you beat! 12 for $6 http://www.orientaltrading.com/application?namespace=browse&origin=searchMain.jsp&event=link.itemDetails&demandPrefix=12&sku=56/3006&mode=Searching&erec=13&D=bingo&Ntt=bingo&Ntk=all&Dx=mode%252bmatchallpartial&Ntx=mode%252bmatchallpartial&y=0&N=0&x=0&sd=Brilliant+Bingo+Bottles
  20. you can mix india ink with acrylic to thicken it up and then add it to Oil based paint if you use mustard powder.
  21. nope, just thinned down paint and brake fluid.
  22. Papermate for sure. but Bic's are ok too.
