he has run adaware? try to restart in safe mode run adaware... a/v app and whatever if he hasnt already.... beyond that i really dont know... im no mainter... ive seen frineds' dsl slow down and pick back up after the shut everything off and unplug and the reconnect and turn on thing... i have cable though so idk if the aim works he has some type of connection so its not completely dead... spyware is the only thing i can think of * you posted too quick... can he run a full scan with it though? in safe mode.. -

small business... not really my job but kinda is... u get stuck doin a lot of shit that aint your job in a small business... the guy whos pc it is has a lot of power as far as our $$ goes and he really likes me so i dont wanna cross him... i should figure out some way to get something out of this... ive inda had my eye on the 19" flat monitor that no one seems to use.. idk... i got that cdrom drive early and im tryina load again... so mainter.. you do this shit all day... you must have a lot of patience -

optiplex gx240 have another one... there were two drives and i kept swappin em out cuz one was bad.... the only one i know of now is in someone's pc and they arent leavin til 5 and i am not askin him to shut down cuz hes a fuckin dick and after the day ive had ill prolly end up losin my shit on him... and im not even sure if thats the good one... this fuckin sucks... i actually had real work to do today too... wtf? i wasted all day on this dumb shit all cuz some old guy doesnt know how to safely look at porn on the web -

i tried that it didnt see the jump drive... it had a cd rom drive but it shit the bed and its one of those little dell mini jump offs so a regular drive wont go in it.. yeah it has floppy... how can i boot off that though... the windows disc is like 400mb -

the one google made.... im still usin ie.. the pc im tryin to fix is full of spyware and viruses and i ran a full scan in safe mode and it found a whole bunch of shit... i deleted it all and its still fucked up... you cant reset the homepage and its boggin down our whole network cuz of all the crap it has on it... *im basically at the point where im just gonna format it but it had the cdrom drive ripped out of it... i copied the windows disc onto my jump drive... ima try to boot off that but i dont know how or if its gonna work -
