Liquid eyeliner works, but if you really want to be old school, you heat up the liner with matches or a lighter so it writes smooth on your lid. No joke, mi chola madre taught me this. Nothing like warm liner to get that fresh cholita look.

Wet and Wild in 508 (cause it is only 99 cents)

with a black eyeliner your lip liner.

I remember when the white liner came out and started being popular...

Didn't agree with my classic chola upbringing.

Although the older cholitas used to rock these. You can get them in Chinatown for like 3 dollars. I still fucks with these.

and back in the day it was men's cologne, Eternity or Coolwater.

Cholas used to like smelling like dudes?

Park at the end of the Market is excellent for people watching. You see all the tourists try to avoid the drunk native bums.

Uwaji's is cool, after 5pm all the sushi is 50% off since they can't sell it the next day. Won for inari and califas roll. Too bad you didn't consult with me first. I would have told you about the old Chinatown pet store in the alley. We have voted it 'Most likely to sell Mogwais". Real Deal.

  4. What's up with the tariff's on some of the packages that go into Canada. To me it seems at random?

Sucks too, after orders go international, you can't track their whereabout either. You have to check with customs to see if your order has cleared or not. Too much trouble a lot of the times.

  5. Since paint is pressurized it is labeled ORMD (hazardous material) and has to go Ground Mail. Depending on where you live and how much you order, this can become super expensive. You also have to label packages that have a large quantity of ink as well, say a gallon of Garvey or something. USPS doesn't do hazardous material nor do they insure packages and have adequate tracking. FedEx set trips. You can try to get them on the plane, if your caught you could get fined or just have them taken away. Or they could explode on you, in which case you get painty luggage.

It's better to either mail paint to where you are going a week before you leave or have the site mail it to where you are staying when you order. With all this being said, fancy paint come on freights across the ocean (an expensive shipping cost) which is why you pay fancy prices. Shipping in a lot of cases is the same as the actual product. Price breaks are fine, but if you have only a limited amount of colors and you give price breaks, is it really worth me ordering 10 can's of a crappy color to reap that benefit?

  6. Send me your email, I have the docs in a RAR file.

Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World was my intro book to him. I think because of it, it will go down in history as my favorite. Short stories is Airplane and Barn Burning. I enjoy his characters dialog and interactions. You can sense their intimacy by his descriptions . I am comfortable feeling that uncertainty when I finish his short stories.

    All God's Children Can Dance

    http://megavideo.com/?v=OGAAVQ8P

n Korea Town Los Angeles, a young man, Kengo, believes he's the son of God - that's what his mother told him since he was a young boy. He spends his days working his dead-end job and figuring out his complex feelings for his girlfriend until, one day, he sees a one-eared man who could be his father and decides to follow him around Los Angeles.

This is the BBC Documentary on Hiroshima. I've read a few books on this subject in school. Since I live in the Northwest where one of the largest internment camp was located, we are taught about this subject. It's interesting to me, I have family that is Japanese and on their side of the family have members who have memories from the camps.

  7. I adore Murakami. I have been reading his short stories. Someone on here hooked me up with a collection of them, pm me if you would like me to email you them.

There was a movie made from a Murakami story called All Gods Childrens Can Dance. I started watching it. I am at a bar trying to download Crowded House to this new fancy jukebox. I will post link when I get home. Whatever happened to the good ole coin ones? Sigh...

Hoss, officially amused and happy with Cat's Cradle. I saw a documentary on the atomic bomb from survivors recently. It was amazing. I will ask Handsome for the link and post it when I escape from here!

  8. I just started.

Barely past the Great Dane house fiasco.

So far I am going on his wit, but I agree the story has not engaged me yet.

    We'll see what happens.

After reading Galapagos followed by Douglas Adams and then back to Vonnegut, I find their writings similar. I think they would have gotten along fabulously.

  9. Re: Dear ________, - no homo

    Dear C-Walk,

It's hard losing a friends. Don't take it personal. Whatever they were going through, there is no point in getting mad about it. It's your job now to remember your friend fondly. Make sure noone forgets them. We do an art benefit for our friend who passed away several years ago. The money goes to scholorship funds for college art students. It brings us all together and we remember him. When the world thinks of him, they think good thoughts and it makes me feel good he is appreciated even after he is gone. Sadness is okay, jusrt don't make it your excuse to not do anything.

My loveand support go to you C-Walker, Texas Ranger
