  1. ^hahahah - metronome, I know what symbiosis is, it's not exactly complicated there buddy.. but thanks for making me go back and re-read the first post, because I misunderstood this.. "C. exigua replaces the tongue, it supplements its diet with food particles, thereby relieving strain on the host's circulatory system." as a benefit, when in actuality the parasite is just relieving the host of a problem which is simply a phase of the parasite itself... you changed my day..
  2. Holy scat~ those camel spiders are crazed! - reading the wikipedia artcile on "giant isopods" made me reconsider eating crustaceans.. I love crab, shrimp and lobster.. but now that I really get a feel of what they eat, on top of the fact that those nasty giant isopods eat better than they do, make me want to yak. So, I'm at a crossroads... either I completely give up crustaceans...or I accept crabs, shrimp and lobsters.. but because of what I just learned, I could only do this with a clear concious by also accepting that I could happily eat a giant isopod.. It says that the chinese (no suprise) enjoy and even cultivate these things for consumption.. I guess I know where to look.. Fucking sea bugs. now I understand Kosher. The article also said that the land isopods include wood lice.. the "potato bugs" you used to pick out of the ground as a kid and flick like boogers at other kids... great.. delicious.. - As for the psycho fish parasite.. it sure looks nasty, but that's a cool example of symbiosis.. But for the record, I hate parasites.. especially because I've had (atleast) two of them.. One in my stomach.. and one in my penis.. The one in my stomach was easy, street food in a 3rd world country.. The one in my penis however is more interesting.. I got it from pissing in the sea.. yup.. they are rampant in warm water places ( i picked mine up in gulf of siam) and when you let a little pee out, they are waiting by to let themselves in the hole that opens up~ it lasted 3 weeks.. the doctor told me I had an std and gave me medicine that did'nt work.. I went for a second opinion , that doctor was far more educated (and far less female).. and knew right away what it was.. I took some other medicine, and was good in a matter of days.. Painful, traumatic and fucking unbelievable.. DONT piss in the water in the tropics! - And by the way, there are sexually transmitted parasites... and they can cause rashes.. but I think the story of visible parasite larva and colonies in that girls mouth are exagerated~ article> http://health.yahoo.com/sexualhealth-overview/trichomoniasis-topic-overview/healthwise--hw139877.html - Crazy NG article on parasites that actually brainwash the host rat to being attracted to cat urine rather than (inately andinstinctively) repelled by it.. The parasite then can get to the cats stomach (a pristine place for it) by means of the cat eating the rat! Respect due to parasites.. scum. article> http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/04/070403-cats-rats.html
  3. I second all of Greasy's tips! ESPECIALLY TOKYU HANDS! (in shibuya) Shibuya is probally the best place to spend your time.. A lot of cool shit, good food and more "fun" crowds~ A nice walk to take is through Yoyogi park (yoyogi station on the yamanote line) out to and through Harajuku, then south on Meiji dori to Shibuya~ Nice day right there.. Asakusa is great place to stay~ A lot of history, though much has been lost in the war.. Definately make it UENO PARK right next to Asakusa~ GREAT place! Some nice temples and cultural sites in with a beautiful setting right in the middle of the mess~ A gem of the city~ Of course the imperial palace grounds are worth a walk through~ Shinjuku is cool, but a bit sleezy.. worth skipping if it were'nt for the food! Especially the alleys of food stalls out of the north-west exits~ Rent a bike if you can, or depending on how long you're there, buy one~ A week on a bike you bought and ditch is cheaper and most time efficient than any other means of transport~ plus you can do cool shit that you can't otherwise~ If you can get out of the city, make it Atami for onsen/ hot springs!!! and/or Kamakura for impressive temples and/or Hakone for hiking and great views of Fuji-san All about an hour away from central tokyo~ Atami and Kamakura are easily accessible from Shinagawa station~ Too bad you're going when you are.. you're about 3 weeks away from Sakura time~ and that means festivals, better weather and everything looking 20x better~ Maybe a few trees will be showing though~ - As for Seoul, Itewon is itewon.. it's not seoul, its not korea.. It does have some nice, creative smaller shops and restos.. and some of the more hyped night life.. but let's just say as far as the crowd goes, cultural cesspool is a fair definition. I like Apgujeong / Banpo and the south bank in general~ real places, official areas... and where I stay when in Seoul Also in Jamsil on the south bank is Lotte World.. a must see and modern marvel The north is where the guide-book sites are though.. Def. go to an open market! BTW.. Namdaemun was burned down a few weeks ago.. fucked up.. but the surrounding markets are still there!! Def. go to Insa-dong! The Asakusa of Seoul... x10! all traditional stuffs~ Def. go to the Hanok village.. and which ever / all the palaces you can~ particularly, Gyeongbokgung Palace~ and def. make it to NAMSAN... the "mountain" in the centre of the city.. for AMAZING views~ Anyway, have fun! Gambate! Himnae!!

  7. Client talking on his cell phone about the experience he had calling sprint customer service ~ " I call up, first time around I get this black.. starts bullshiting about basketball..basketball! .. I had to hang up... I call back, my luck I get a spanish guy.. did'nt know what the fuck he was talking about.. stuttering up and putting me on hold.. Shit, this country's in the fucking toilet.. for the first time, I realized that.. and I was wishing I had just got conected to a call centre in India..."
  8. Two Korean co-workers talking about thier family histories.. A: Yeah my grandfather was born in the north B:Yeah mine too, My grandmother had a huge apple farm she had to abandon..sucks. A: fuckin' chinese imperialists B: yeah, I love apples. hahah

  10. Oman... (I'm trying not to use places that end in "a"s anymore)
  11. I am a cyclist.. xc, freeride, downhill, distance/road, street.. I have 4 bikes and have spent more time on two wheels than many people have spent on 4.. I grew up in New York City and used to work as a bike courrier there.. I have lived in many cities around the world, and have traveled extensively with the bike. having said that, I want to vouche my support for the notion that cyclists are ultimately in control.. People who don't ride, you can't understand the dynamic of the bike, you don't have the feel of the bike, the sense of the velocity.. and that's why most people are so (deservedly so) intimidated by the bike in motion. Besides the fools who ride the sidewalks (I by the way slur at people who do this, even with my bike in hand) and the idiots who wait to cross the street by standing in the middle of it (or even worse, the bike lane where there is one), pedestrians are generally not put at risk by cyclists... Pedestrians need not to panic and trust or atleast sense, that the cyclist has your velocity and pace in mind.. your steps and your path.. and keep in mind that is he the cyclist who is most at risk.. more than the pedestrian and surely more so than the person sitting in their cars or buses. And the last, very last thing that cyclists wants is to stop his/her flow.. especially if it's being stopped with an abrupt collision of any sort, much less one where someone is injured. Please note the similarities with motocycle collisions and accidents with autmobiles/buses and related issues such as avoiding pedestrians and doors opening to the street.. and those that manual cyclists have... It's not a fault of the rider as much as it the fault of other peoples lack consideration for them.. and I don't mean civilities and compassion.. I mean true consideration.. they don't even consider the world of the rider because they've never rode in the city.. in the dynamic crush that is a densely civilized and highly trafficed place.. That's what it all comes down to.. now imagine if everyone without a drivers licence acted with such thoughtlessness towards cars.. you know why they learn quick with cars and not bikes? because a bike can't kill you..and people know that.. and exhibit and innate lack of consideration towards them.. then blame it on the cyclist when things go wrong. period. by the way, I get pissed off at asshole cyclists more so than the most grumpy pedistrian.. I take it personal.. I'm like the Bill Cosby of cycists. Also, if someone cuts too close or has a sour face as the do some bullshit on the bike, then I'll curse, spit, or slash a tire , throw coffee etc.. but it's like someone who bumps into on the street.. if they smile or raise an apologetic hand, then cool, smile and go on.. if they smirk or grimace.. they get what they ask for. It's intention that should be taken into consideration.. as in all such social situations.. The input in these 7 pages has been rather enlightening and at times entertaining.. Thanks for reading my addition.
  12. hahah~ They were'nt my words, that's just "the word"~ I can see the mexican thing~ P.S. I love Mexicans!..like them, Filipinos are a fun bunch~ P.P.S. Filipinos are all over the globe~ everywhere... I don't think I've ever been to a country that did'nt have a filipino enclave or atleast a few strays wandering around~ Respect due to motivation via mobilization!
  13. I have spent many many holidays and tens of thousands of hours with filipinos.. I have had 2 long term filipino girlfriends.. and my grandmothers home attendant was a wonderful filipino lady.. And despite their reputation as being the niggers of east asia, I don't think they are much worse as a whole than any other race. They surely have the most misplaced values on the continent, (the only catholic nation on the continent, coincidence? no) they are SURELY upwards of the most superficial people in the entire world, and they are surely a hypocritical hierarchal society with an almost devious filial/generational piety... but besides that, they're generally warm welcoming and fun people. I hate the philippines, but I generaly like filipinos very much.. though the ones I don't like, I really hate. And just a note, the best filipino women are outside of the philippines.. if youre a hot tamale in that country you're either married for status or a hooker before your body catches up to you and turns you in to a pear.. P.S...One of the highest homosexuality rates in the world..
