  1. ^^ What movie?

LOCK - STOCK owns... you must be slow.

I'm pretty fast when I sprint, but I can't run for too long because I smoke cigarettes. Unless it's to catch the train or running from the cops, then I can run pretty far. But regardless, I did not enjoy "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels", I thought it was boring and pointless and cheap. To each his own.

  2. There are so many good games coming out or that have already been released!! I can't keep up with it! I'm still barely past the first couple of levels on Halo3 and still working on Flatout: Ultimate Carnage, plus I have MoH: Airborne that I loaned to a friend since I haven't even played it yet. With school gearing up towards finals, I have no time to play all these awesome games!

Plus, there's Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect (been waiting forever for that), and that game Timesplitters or whatever looks pretty cool. They should fucking learn to release shit in the summer time, when all the kids have time to play the games because they are on break and need something to do so they won't have to go outside! Look at Bioshock and Dead Rising, both those games came out in early August and sold really well. LEARN THE FUCKING LESSON: GAMES CAN BE RELEASED IN THE SUMMER AND STILL HAVE REALLY GOOD SALES!!!

I dont know whether its been said or not, but did you guys see SouthPark Lately? They made fun of Guitar Hero.

I thought it was funny when Stan's dad was all jaming to a real guitar and the kids didnt think it was all cool hahaha. And also when he couldnt even play the game, even though he was rocking it on the guitar.

Yeah, it was only mentioned about 3 or 4 posts above yours ya fackin' moron.

  3. The thing that I loved so much about Demonoid.com was how clean it was. There were no pop-ups, the page was never crowded with ads, and the layout for torrents was beautiful, having a list posted per day of what was uploaded.

And most of all, the in-site search engine was the best I've ever seen. Accurate and detailed, it was a breeze to find anything you wanted on that site.

  4. RIP Demonoid.com, the best private torrent site around. You could find anything there, from Photoshop to "Evil Dead" to the latest comic books. RIP, and fuck anyone who goes against torrent sites. This is the message that you get when you go to http://www.demonoid.com:

"The CRIA threatened the company renting the servers to us, and because of this it is not possible to keep the site online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding."

I looked up the "CRIA", turns out it's the Canadian Recording Industry Association. They were brought down by CANADIANS!!! Oh the humanity. I urge everyone who knew the greatness of Demonoid.com to write the CRIA and tell them they are assholes. I did it, and it helped start the long healing process.

    Fucking Canada.

  5. That's funny, all these idiots were coming into the Bioshock forums and not only shit-talking Bioshock and saying it wouldn't be anywhere near as innovative as Crysis, but they were also shitting all over 360 users saying that they sucked because Crysis will only be out on the PC.

  6. I want this Joker to be a mix of Frank Miller's version in DKR, Sam Keith's version done in the recent miniseries "Batman: Secrets", and the lunatic, crippling, rapist, murderer from Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke". IF you have not read "The Killing Joke" then you are not a true Batman fan. Run now to your local comic shop and buy it, or consider yourself a permanent newb.

Oh, and on another note, I don't have very high hopes for "The Watchman" and at, since it is one of the greatest graphic novels of all time, perhaps THE greatest, and Hollywood has already butchered Moore's other works, AND it is is impossible to tell that whole story even in three hours. AND, you can't trim anything from that story without making it good.

  7. I have very, very, very, very, very, very, very high expectations and hopes for this movie. This will be better than any of the other super-hero sequels, and most likely better than any of the other super-hero films, including Spiderman.

Ironman is also looking like it might be pretty interesting, although it seems like it's gonna be a three-hour long movie. My film class professor brought in his special critic's promotional trailer for the film and it looks epic and might actually be pretty cool.

  8. Detroit is going to shit on them in the playoffs...People need to jump off that bandwagon, already.

I never said anything about winning it all, but they are definitely a strong team this season and deserve some credit, or at least they will if they keep up the pace they are going at. I don't foresee them getting too far in the playoffs, but I don't think they will get swept like they did the last time they made the playoffs.

  9. I was just kidding about pre-orders, jeezzzzzz.

I think I played that Douglas Adams game, I remember it, but I'm not sure if I had it.

WeapX: There is rumor that Metal Gear will find its way onto the 360.

  10. Pre-ordering is for pussies! Real men wait it out!

I'm dying to play COD4, but I promised myself I would finish Halo3 and at least open MoH: Airborne first. Flatout is also a fucking awesome game that I've been playing the shit out of.

  11. I have to agree with STYLEISKING, "Deathproof" was the better of the two "Grindhouse" films. Not that I didn't like "Planet Terror".

I had missed this old reply about the car chase in french connection, sorry.

I meant they didn't have official permission to shoot the movie there... all NYC cops were their friends so they had them block the streets...

or so they claim in the dvd commentary.

I think they used the word "stealing", but I might be wrong. anyway by scenes I meant shots or whatever

    here's the chase

Awesome. I just watched "French Connection II", it was a decent film, but nothing close to the original.

I just bought "Flatout: Ultimate Carnage" for the 360. I guess it's a remake/re-envisioning of a X-Box game, but it's fucking awesome fun. Aside from insane races, awesome demolition derbies, and races where the whole purpose is to wreck shit and cars, there is also a stunt mode where there are a dozen or so courses in which you launch your drive from the car to do things like knock down bowling cars, fly into basketball hoops, and do high-jumps 140 yards into fences. Unfortunatly, no split-screen two player, you can only play on Live. There is a "party" mode that allows up to I think 8 people to switch off controllers to compete in the stunt modes. It's an all around great game with killer graphics and crashes, except for it's really fucking hard to powerslide into turns. I wind up crashing a bunch. The game was $50, so it's cheaper than most regular games.

Also bought "Halo 3" and while it's a good game, I can't say I'm overly impressed. It's definitely not anywhere near as good as "Bioshock".

And that game "Jericho" by Clive Barker is getting terrible reviews.

The "Conan" game is getting so-so reviews, mainly calling it a total rip-off of God of War but not as fun.

"Timeshift" is getting decent reviews but seems like nothing too special. I will probably wait until it drops down to 30-40 bucks before I pick it up.
