  3. Props to Spike for commenting on the two other than...

    wow DOPE! or wow WACK!

nice sum up, I was amazed this time that I saw the Joker one right away, right off the bat. but then again having prior knowledge of the word probably helped a tad. both are ill though. Good to see some nice contributions in here.

  4. I say Han Solo...cause see folks theres reasoning involved here, the question was whos more gansta...and Solo was straight thugging, you cant forget homie was a smuggler, a ragtag, scruffy blaster carrying yahoo cowboy flyboy semi dirtbag womanizing GANSTA,plus he rolled with a ten foot tall weapon that made howling noises.

Han Solo: [laughs] Scoundrel? Scoundrel? I like the sound of that.

dont get me wrong indie was one bad nazi busting mothertrucker.

  5. This thread rocks, probably the only worthwhile thread (along with the bible) in paperchase.

cycle of the werewolf:certainly not a literary classic, but fun to read plus its illustrated by bernie wrightson (horror artist and some comics) and from 1989 its kinda cool

and seriously not jumping on the patriotism bandwagon mark bowden is an awesome writer (black hawk down, killing pablo) some military history is interesting especially when looked at from both sides.

lastly: ransom the untold story of international kidnapping by ann auerbach, really fucking good good read and damn enlightening

its not chaucer or mark twain..but hey..:D

never contributed to this, just thought of it right now.

    bump.

  7. first off unless your like eight or so this isnt exactly rocket science, you need to start figuring stuff out on your own.

    Letter structure.

take a look at a simple yet classical font. like the typeface here on 12oz.

    times new roman for instance...

your name...or whatever...MIGO migo. study the structure of the letters, they are made up of simple shapes, ie. bars. look at them like shapes, all drawings can be broken down into simple shapes then built upon.

your girl drawings need work but at least you are drawing. If you arent old enough to get into a life drawing class try picking up some anatomy books and studying the figure it will really help you along the way, I reccomend any book by Bruce Hogarth amongst others.

anyways hope this helps...keep on keeping on.

  8. If I were you I would concentrate more on letter structure, than perspective, 3d or anything, Kinda like what some of the sketches Hovie is doing. Once you learn your letters and how to manipulate them properly youll progress much better.

-keep it simple, even if it there just straight block letters its the best start. and the best way to learn.

  9. Damn Joker

Those last posts were insane. I would love to have one of those in my possesion, (if I had the cheese to of course.) absolutely sweet.

Just outta curiousity when you sell your work like that, what price range do they usually go for??? (Like if you were to sell the wood one, or the musuem ones etc?)

Hey Tess, why dont you show us the whole thing? ;) Looks good!
