Joker's forst race report of the season -
Two mile loop on mostly flat course with a slight false flat on one side. Seven laps. I raced the 4/5's because I haven't been training hard enough to go with the 3/4's. Anyway - guys all line up for the start, about 25 of us. Three guys from a new team and four guys, including me from my team. The rest are unattached. The ride starts off at a fairly easy pace for the first three laps. In the middle of lap four I decide I need to do some more work to sorta ride myslef into the race instead of being pack fill. I attack on the false flat and get a good 50 meters ahead of the group. No one chases me down and the group seems to staying their pace. I stay out on my own for half a lap before realizing it's retarded to be out there by myself. I ease up and wait for the group to catch me. I sit in till lap six and do the same thing. Again... no chasers. I try to stay out on my own till the end but I burned myself up about 300 meters from the line and watched almost every guy pass me. I had nothing left to even attempt to sprint. How sad is that? 300 meters from the line and then die. Someone had to be laughing at me. I finished 18th. I was kinda sad at first but on the ride home I felt pretty good. It could have been worse considering the amount of training I haven't done. And being able to attack definitely made me feel good about racing again. And hopefully it'll spark interest in another rider when I do it again next week.
Areankay... I can't believe you got that frame for only $45! Setting it up as a TT bike or fixed?
yeh i did it up as a fixed gear, i actually paid $125 but i still think thats a deal basicly ebay is my new freind

its fun to go on ebay and bid on colnago bikes up till like a grand then jsut stop bidding, it almost makes you feel like you actually had the money to buy the hunk of plastic

i just started riding my fixed gear bike around my legs hurt but all in all i like it

damn i just spent all my money on hubs and bike stuff i would have been interested though, if and when i regather funds ill bump this thread seeing if you still happen to have the bike

i see actually the wheels i am looking at come with a flip flop hub that can take a freewheel so maybe i can get it to be singlespeed thanks for the help

what is stoping me if anything from putting a track wheel on my road bike and riding it? bike shops have told me i cant do it yet while messing around with my bike the other night i had my chain set up so it was not going through any derailleurs set at the 42t chainring in the front and on the 15t cogg in the back and while the chain was loose and all it still rode ? so that leads me to believe i can ride a road bike with a track rim on it . can anyone help me out with this? can it be done

here is some of my problems maybe someone can help me i have one rear rim busted, it has a bent axle and a broken spoke and all the spokes on the side that the broken spoke are on need replaced (you prolly can imagine what i did) basicly the bike shop told me it would be cheeper to get a new rim. i sort of liked that idea cause i want a 36 spoke rear rim vs my 32 hole rim i got now. this is where problems start i need a hub for a 6/7 speed of 126mm spacing i am having trouble finding these i found phil woods sells them but im not trying to drop $140 on a hub at this time. anyone know any sites out there that are selling hubs for 6/7 speed or even sites that are selling axles?

i just purchased my self an older cannondale 12 speed it has all shimano 105 shit on it and wolber rims i dont know if any of this is good but the bike prolly dosent even have 200 miles put on it and i got the thing for 150 bux all i need are new tires and tubes :)

Question what’s up with tattoos and being a messenger? do companies have strict policy about tattoos do they have to be covered up? also say there extremely visible like say you had like neck, throat, hands, fingers stuff of that nature could you still be hired?

if you wanna go all out just JB weld your cogg and lockring to the hub that bitch will go no where, ever. really you dont even need a lockring then jb weld rules that much
