    Check out Alibaba.com.

tons of large scale brewing equipment on this site. Its all or mostly from China but im sure you could find a bbl fermenter for hundreds less than some shit on a homebrew store. Especially when it carries the blichman name its like the seal of "pay more for nothing"

  4. I have two beers on draft currently. One is a Hoppy Amberish Rye beer and the other is a Hefeweizen, I have the Hefeweizen hooked up to a randall and its going through 2 ounces of Sorachi Ave hops, they both are drankin real good.

Decided to brew yesterday also so i brewed this Oskar blues Gordon clone beer that i had a recipe for. First clone beer i ever made so im excited to see how it turned out.

  6. Them ribs are lookin good. You use a heavy portion of sugar in your rub....? looks like you have a good bark on the outside of them ribs.

I have been messing with dry rubbed ribs lately and i must say for being up in the north east where people are accustomed to ribs with sauce and not having any knowledge of what a dry rubbed rib even is they are flipping shit once they get a taste of it.

I have that same smoker. Just built a manifold of heat shields along the bottom to direct the hot air more evenly through the entire unit

  7. Finally after a 4 month hiatus i got out to do some brewing, Buddy and myself did two 10 gal batches and split em up. We did a Hoppy Amber Rye Pale Ale and Heffewizen.

  8. YES this thread delivers

i have tinkered with other "home closet creations" in my past, but brew is the new frontier. I've heard $100 for the basic setup, plus ingredients and whatnot. and I have a brew supply store near my house.

where did everybody purchase their equipment?

Your best bet starting out to keep the cost down is a healthy balance between online stores and your local shop or shops.

kits are cheap online and at sites like morebeer.com you get free shipping on most items after you spend $59 if not that other sites like northernbrewer and midwest supplies i believe all have flat rate shipping deals.

ingredients try to get at your local store. Its nice to throw a little something in the way of the local guy trying to help people out with a rather small hobby.

  9. I have been slacking big time on brewing. bad winter didn't help either and now yard work and weekend traveleings seem to be taking up most of my free time. I'm hoping this weekend to be able to get something done. I have my Double IPA A Rye pale Ale and some Clone of Oskar blue Gordon that i put toghter.

  12. Someone on know or is korean.....?

We do Korean BBQ once a week at my house and this week the woman watching over the meats at the grocery store pushed this stuff on me with a smile and thumbs up. No idea what it is but it was good so i decided paying 5 bucks for it was a good idea.

  13. Anyone have a good versatile pizza dough recipe....?

Im looking for something that is a good all around pizza dough and easy to work with. A dough that is good if say i want to make something deep dish style but also at the same time a dough that i could flatten the hell out of to get a good thinner style more common dough.

Last night i attempted to make what would have been an amazing deep dish style upside down pizza in a cast iron skillet. I even coated the pan in duck fat it was a fat mans dream come true, Bogus dough recipe made for big time fail.
