  1. HAHAHA, this thread remind me of my job. We always useing tools, and one of my bosses who talks like he is gay always says funny shit. Like.

"Hey thats improper tool usage." or

"Come over here and pack this dirt with that rod."

Hmm i cant think of funny ones, but when you are there its really funny.

  2. One thing i dont get about the whole bike culture is the dumbness of the clothes. I can see why pro racers would need that shit, but everyone else is going for the image, expecially the mountain bikers who shave their legs and wear tight spandex and "cool" team jerzeys. When i go riding i wear jeams a t shirt and a protexc skating helmit. Its always fun to pass up the dude with his 5000 dollar titanium bike in tight ass spandex and all that shit. I know you guys will argue this point with me and say that biking clothes actually help. But i think they arnt necesary unless your really serious.

  3. Ok, heres my position on grip shifters, and im a mountain biker.

I think they actually suck for any sort of riding that is technical, they may work great for street, but if your going to need to be doing bunny hops and manuals to get over rocks and stuff grip shifts are going to suck cause whenyou pull up they will twist and shift. Get the ones mounted below the bar, that you press one to shift up, and one to shift down. These also work great, cause you can press it once quickly to shift one gear, or plunge it all the way in, and it shifts 4 gears at once, this is excelent for when you reach a hill unexpectedly. Also after you use them for a short time its not hard to find at all, and the shifting becomes instinct, its really not hard to shift at all.

I need to keep better care of my bike, i dont wash it too often, and it gets real muddy, also i almost never grease the chain so it starts to get squeeky a lot.

  4. The isssue of tunnels is a difficult one. It would really suck to accedentally get stuck in a huge tunnel and die. I know there is one near my house way up in the mountains at least 20 miles long, and the trains might go max 20 miles an hour through it. That means a whole hour in the tunnel. Sounds like a resporator would be a good idea but still you may die. I never thought about this fact before. In our drivers ed class, we had a gentle man come in with "operation lifesaver" a train safety course. He informed us that in some tunnels in the mountains trains will have snow plows that run only 6 inches above the ground. I just thought that was an interesting subject considering I have never thought about that before and there is lots of tunnels here in Colorado.

  5. Kabar, i totally agree with you on the gun issue and the new laws issue, I think one of the reasons that there has not been so much resistance, is that the media is supressing it, and the masses have been brainwashed and if something is "a war against terrorism" they will support it, no questions asked. Another thing is, if you guys havent noticed they now want to pass something (it may of already been passed) that allows the government to search your emails.

The government already does this, infact the government has computers that go through and pull out all emails sent through major email services (aol yahoo, hotmail etc...) with words they consider hateful or dangerous. So the government can read any email you send and probably has read lots of them so far.

And please correct me if im wrong on any of these topics but I beleive I am correct.

    P.S..

Kabar, earlier you said that all newspapers are very liberal. This is not true in my city, which is a fairly major city in the West of the U.S.A. 2 out of the 3 newspapers from the area are VERY conservative and they put a tint on all of them twards the republican party.

    Thanks for your time.
