Jive Turkey
The Discovery Channel On Air (ET): Mar 13 2003 9:00 PM Mar 14 2003 12:00 AM Mar 15 2003 3:00 PM Baltimore Tunnel Fire Baltimore Tunnel Fire On July 18th, 2001, a sticky afternoon in Baltimore, a 60-car freight train carrying toxic chemicals unexpectedly derailed and caught fire deep in the Howard Street Tunnel. Firefighters and emergency management workers battled the inferno for five days. --------------------------------------------------------------- This was a crazy week for those who lived and/or worked in the downtown Baltimore area. It will be interesting to see how the Discovery Channel documents the event. Had this occured 2 months after Sept. 11(as opposed to 2 months before), I'm sure it would have had much more media coverage and been investigated as a "Terrorist Attack".
