Yes accurate description of the goings on of SF in the last 4 years, I've been here for 13 years and it's changed a lot in just the past couple of years.
Oh and skip Alcatraz and the Fisherman's Wharf.

damn, good looks Karl, saw this after the trip. I was so fucking medicated (the edibles truly fucked me up) through out the trip that it was a blur. My cousin copped from Apothecarium, that shit was fancy at least from the oustisde. I stayed by the airport so had in n' out a lot. Smitten ice cream was bomb. Bob's donuts was slammin' and the shop was pretty non-hipster which was good. What really stood out was Philz coffee, I need that shit in the east coast. We got blue bottle in nyc and have to say Philz blows it away.as far as shopping I hit up:

El tonayense taco truck is a must, from there just eat your way through the mission for Mexican food. You'll also find a bunch of bars there too.

i mean i guess i am kind of tech savy, but im really trying to resist it all.
everyone is always up on their phone or ipad...everyone is "connected"...i miss old school interaction i guess.
i even blew up on my gf the other day cause i was trying to have a convo with her and she was all up on her instagram and she kept saying "uh huh...uh huh" when i was talking to her...that when i asked her what i just said, she didnt even know!
i deleted my personal facebook in 2010/2011 and have never had a twitter or instagram or snapchat or linkedin or vine or any of that.
i even bought an ipad 2 years ago and have only used it like 4 times.
i guess im just weird like that.
I live in SF and I don't have a cell phone, facebook, twitter or any of that shit.

I tried the Stone Enjoy by 04/01/13 IPA this weekend at the Toronado, and it was really good.

I just ate there less than 2 weeks ago and it was killer.
I would also recommend Mama's Fish House in Paia, Monkeypod Kitchen in Wailea, Mullligan's in Wailea and Maui Brewing company in Lahaina.
