So... A friend of mine got busted at Menards racking less than $20 worth of paint. When the undercover grabbed him he took off running but was taken down in the parking lot. They kept him in the holding room and now he's facing one count of theft and one count of obstruction of justice for running. The maximum fine for these offenses is 90 days in jail and $1000, but it's his first offense. He just turned 18. He's trying to deal with the whole thing without his parents finding out, which means no lawyer money. Does anyone have any advice?
