  1. Thank you for taking the time to help me out on this! But, the inks im using are OTR h2B and Grog, and both of those bottles dont have the ingredients on the labels. But i think im just gonna put a tiny bit of water in my pen, to see if i can tell the difference.

So is it a good idea to add water to my MB and alcoholbased ink mix? would you happen to know this Oink?

  4. Well guys thanks for the feedback on my question, i think ill just go and see if DOT 4 works. In the past i have worked with DOT 3 before so i do know what it does, and i like the "raw" and messy feeling it gives to your ink. (if there is someone else who knows if dot 4 or 5 is as good as dot 3 feel free to pm me or leave a msg)
  5. So is it also worth is to put dot 4 or 5 in your ink? Because Dot 3 isnt made some Euro countries anymore, they did tell me that dot 4 was a mixture of dot 3 and 4...sometinhg like that Edit: I found this on wikipedia, maybe usefull: "DOT 4, like DOT 3 and DOT 5.1, is a polyethylene glycol-based fluid (contrasted with DOT 5 which is silicone-based)"
  6. i think model airplane paint isn't meant to be that permanent, and you should have less problems buying normal paint, then trying to make that paint more permanent...
  7. yeah but i was actually looking for bucket paint..
  8. so does someone know what euro paints are good to mix down with thinner (to put in a mop) I cant buy rusto here...
  9. Oke here's a question, i live in Holland, and can't seem to find nice paint to thin out with white spirits and put in a mop. I've tried looking for Rusto but it's not availible in my hometown. Doe's someone know any good euro paint brands to use? and with what to thin em out (White spirits, thinner etc) Your help would be much appreciated
  10. so your saying hammorite is aceton based?
  11. yeah but i actually think it is oil based, but i just read that hammerite can only be mixed with a special thinner from hammorite's own brand...so im gonna get that and see if its got anny potential... I also heard that radiator paint ought to be good for making ink? Or is all oil based ink good to make ink?
  12. who knows what stuff you can use to mix Hammerite anti-rust bucket paint? I've tried terpetine but it woulnd mix...maybe thinner?
