Oh my... where do I start. This beef is lame. I don't know what school of graffiti all of you come from, but I do know this.... I moved to DC a while back, and the only crews that I've seen putting in real work the last 2 years are the following: N4N GA KGB ATB (Mostly Moe, but I know Coma and them used to kill it, like it or not.) That's about it. The school of graffiti that I come from is simple. The more the risk, the more the reward. Have honor when dealing with writers and other people. Don't be a snitch/rat. Etc. You all know the code (or, actually it seems like you don't.) Doing pieces legally, or at chill spots (yes, the Red Line is a chill spot,) is mediocre at best. It's cool when people do it big, or with style, but this doesn't make you a credible writer. Neither does hitting up paint pen and streaker tags on bike racks or in bathrooms. Stickers are almost worthless. I admit, that I partake in these activities with the exception of the stickers (lame, imho.) In the real world of graff, writers are defined by their prowess at getting spots and getting over (acquiring paint, etc.) I've only met a handful of people in this city who get down like that, and that's who I roll with. They are all affiliated somehow with the list of crews above. Anybody who tries to front on this is seriously delusional. I'm not going to mention any names, but you all know who the masters of getting busy are. These kids bomb more than you, they rack more than you, and they're true to themselves in this life. Y'all are a bunch of half steppin' wannabes trying to gain fame by picking a fight with the most established G's in the business. It's an old tactic and it works, but only if you come hard. This shit's a joke to me.

OK. So, this is some political shit that my small mind doesn't quite comprehend. I'm just going to sit back and watch how this plays out.

  16. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's true. Those cats are G's about the situation, and have actually pulled off some more prolific shit than that in their careers. Bump Rome & Natrl.

I feel ya man... I've heard of Phunk, but the guy I stole those flicks from isn't him. I'll search the archives, I'm pretty sure I've got some Phunk and Daver stashed somewhere.

Naw... Phunk from SF doesn't write (well graffiti, at least.) People just call him that because he's way into old funk and jazz tunes (hence the name.) He is the author of this book. http://www.amazon.com/Bay-Area-Graffiti-Steve-Rotman/dp/0979966604 BTW, haven't heard the name Daver mentioned in a while, what a blast from the past. I've got some flicks somewhere that I'll post when I find them.
