LOL at your username. It's sad, but the statement's true. A lot of bitches in the graff game today, but then again, it's no different than it ever was. I got busted at 18 (long fucking time ago, but I digress) and the dude I was with at the time told the fuzz everything. Not just about the night we got busted, but also about shit we'd done a few weeks back. They got him all scared that he was going to the slammer, and that if he told the truth he'd be better off. We got convicted (no surprise.) Funny thing is that I never saw him in jail on our surrender date, or ever for that matter. His parents were rich and took care of it. It's not like snitching is a new phenomenon. Fools've been doing this bullshit since jump street. I wanted to beat his ass when I got out, but that probably just would've gotten me more time.

He was up for parole this year, but it got denied. He can see the parole board again in 2018. That's a long time. :( Bummer.

You only get a certain amount of time to edit your posts on 12oz... it's like 30-60 minutes, I think. While on the subject, I've always thought of doing "Free _____" graff as not such a good idea unless the person has already been sentenced and is currently serving time (even then it's dumb.... it's not like a CO is going to see it on the way to work and think to themself "Hey, they're right. I'm gonna set them free." And I'm pretty sure a judge is not going to see it and say "Let's overturn that guilty verdict.") It's a nice sentiment, but it almost seems like writers who do that are trying to advertise that they've got a homie in jail. Like, they're trying to earn street cred or something by telling the world that their boy is locked up. I'm not knocking people for doing this, and I myself have done it many times. I'll make a hypothetical situation here... say you write ThisGoesToTheBitchesThatsHanginFromMyDingDong1, and the graff task is looking for you because you've been getting up a lot lately. Then, one night you're apprehended and kept in jail because you had some warrants or some shit, but the police didn't actually see you doing anything. Then, your boys go out and hit up "Free ThisGoesToTheBitchesThatsHanginFromMyDingDong1" everywhere, meanwhile you are sticking to your story that they've got the wrong person. If the graff task force see's the "Free ThisGoesToTheBitchesThatsHanginFromMyDingDong1" tags running, and know that you're behind bars as a suspect in the case.... well, you get it (I hope.) It makes it pretty obvious to law enforcement that they've arrested the right person, for those of you who are slow/illiterate. It's just better to not mention anything about people who are currently being charged with a crime.

Co-signed. I'd even go as far as to say that anybody who buffs without permission should be subject to the same consequences as a writer for dissing shit if you see them out there. Obviously, if they own the building, it's their prerogative. But these fools that I'm thinking of go out late at night and surreptitiously buff shit, sneaking around and shit.

I think that was some anti-graff vigilantes who did that. There's those dudes who half-buff shit up near 14th and U with flat black spray paint (shit's hurt.)
