  1. keep the laptop in the kitchen with the weed, cigarettes, and coffeemaker.
  2. "street artists" get shows at local galleries that cater to the new "street art" boom. Gallery secures legal walls all over the City to promote the street artists street art show. I believe Eine was offered around around 32 different legal "surfaces" by which to promote his show (I mean, bring art and culture to the City). One of the surfaces deemed Eine-worthy by the gallery hosting him meant going over a giant piece of "street art" that had been done by someone who still climbs drainpipes in the middle of a Tenderloin night. It isn't "street art" that's ruining frisco graff. Yes, ten thousand hipsters from Utah attending the Academy Of Art planning out their post-irony post-Banksy wheatpastes and stencils over PBRs in Dolores Park is a drag to those of us who learned how to make chalkboard-eraser wides and pull red handles on Muni around the same time we learned our multiplication tables. But cast a more scornful eye on those who facilitate it when they should know better. This is Frisco. This is Tie's town, goddamnit. Does Frisco really need to import so many pseudo-vandal glad-hand street art star Juxtaposers to the Mecca of this shit while the apartments of our fine City's most prolific "artists" are still being raided by the Putzs and Limberts of the world? Perhaps White Walls should have assisted local "street artist" Girafa in raising bail with one or two percent of the budget allocated by the gallery for Eine's street art campaign (it's an example, lets not digress into Giraffian-debate, as usual). anyhow, there's my pre-morning-coffee two cents worth of one fellows opinion.
  3. I support this fully. i urge shutterbugs to catch "candids". i'd much rather see a writer walking up to a wall than what he left on it or see the people waiting for the band to play as opposed to the band itself.
  4. Right on. Makh was a righteous guy. Nice to see your post this morning. RIP Makh.
  5. I'm not reading all that jibba jabba to get the details, but I gotta say to the guy getting up Doja, if it's in tribute to a homie who died, you are doing him no service by internet chatter (and quite frankly, going over a few things I saw which was disappointing). I tell you this as someone who has buried two best friends and almost fifteen other friends. Grant your homie some diginity. Look at how the friends of Tie, Dream, Sope, and other bay writers (hell, we could go back to Midas- where you at, old folks?) keep the legacy of their lost friends/writers as polished as platinum; they don't let it get dirty by mishandling it. If you assume the responsibility of keeping your homies name alive after they have passed as tribute, you also take on the monumental obligation to keep that name in high regard. Just two cents from a funeral regular.
  6. yeah, are cops really doing undercover investigations on who tagged OC and The Pink Palace with a chalkboard wide? i just realized that most of these posters don't know what those three things are. hahaha.
  7. the same t-dogs in giants hats who say DP instead of Dolores and Nopa instead of the Western Addition.
  8. I usually don't repost for the sake of reposting, but this... wooooo... unavoidable.
  9. hahaha. reminds me of the battle for the name "Penis" in 99ish(?). I thought, they are making the jokes too easy, only in Frisco would two guys be fighting over penis.
  10. you just described at least 75% of all writers worth their salt in the rich history of San Francisco, so... yeah. Where did you come up? Because it sounds a lot more "real" than being forced to live amongst the work of toy art fag nerds like Felon, Rem, Twist, Booker, Giant, Juice, Meta, Icon, Aeros, Love, Sibl, King Tie (yes, Tie, because he had more chubby asians, featherless chickens, neckties hanging from hangers and other "art fag" shit than twelve-color wild styles at chill spots), Deadcats, Blis, Heart, Buter, Percept, Emuse, Maseo, Light, Bigfoot, Aeros, Element, blah blah blah. Graffiti would be so much more real if everyone just stuck to puttin' 3d on bits, bits, doodads.
  11. Yes, perhaps, but I do believe that according to the bylaws, it is mandatory for points to be deducted for making a flagrant Tyler Perry reference in public.
