heres the skate part, used to be pristine was eventually busted up with a jackhammer and a couple months ago the whole place was leveled. Quoted post looks like that spot is worth taking a day to buy some concrete mix and patch that shit up.

It's in Louisville, KY and yes its still standing. there's a lot of history behind it. It used to be an old teberculosis hospital in the 1800's and then it got shut down and its supposed to be one of the top ten most "haunted" places in the US. I think theyre beggining to revive the building though.... which kind of sucks.

Hey casek, arcel or anyone that could help, I'm lookin at upgrading to an AMD athlon 64 2800+ (Here's the cpu) but I'm not all that savy with the technical business... I'm looking for a proccessor for around $100-$200 and I'll mainly be using it for multi-tasking with 1-3 adobe/macromedia programs at once. My friend suggested the P4 prescott (here), and said AMD's are mainly for gamers and P4's are usually better for media, publishing and whatnot. So any input from you guys would be more than helpful. thanks.

by adjusting do you mean adding more? because I would have already done that option by now, but I have RDram which is nearly twice as much as DDR and not as good... (and considering I only have 256mb it would take a lot to upgrade to a substantial ammount) so if I were to get more ram I'd be forking out the money for a new motherboard that supports DDR ram so I could get at least a gig. and by then it would cost around $300 or so... Does anyone here have any experience with apple notebooks and how well they work for graphic design? (EX running photoshop, illustrator, and a few other programs at the same time) and if so, are they worth the money?

i see. thanks guys for the views. but to mainter, i'm not just starting out i use illustrator photoshop and dreamweaver at least 3 times a day and ive been doing a lot of site designing, and graphics for people latley so thats why im thinking mac might be the right way to go since ive heard a lot of designers say to get one, but im just trying to get more opinions before i invest in somthing that costs so much (or at least for my budget) And as far as macs making me a better designer, i know im not going to be and wasnt expecting it. i'm just looking for somthing that will ALLOW me to become a better designer due to performance, reliability and so forth, because right now my computer freezes with just about any move i make in illustrator and photoshop even with no other programs running. and its became so bad ive actually been closing explorer.exe to save memory. but thanks again for all the input.

I'm not sure if anyone here could help me with this particular situation or not, but id like to get some input from people who have experience in my situation. I'm currently running a pretty shitty PC that was really nice about 3-4 years ago. here are the specs: Dell; windows XP; 2.40 ghz pentium 4with 533,hz system bus and 512k l2 cache 256mb rd ram (weaak) 30gb hard drive now im looking to either upgrade, or get a new computer for college. I'm going to be majoring in graphic design so that is what my computer will be used for 98% of the time. Many people have told me mac is the way to go when it comes to graphic design. I've used a pc for about 4 years and thats all the real experience i have with computers so im not sure about macs. I run photoshop illustrator and mozzilla at the same time a lot (or i try to...) and due to my weakass 256mb of rdram my computer runs like complete shit. So I'm looking to make it not run like shit. I was looking at the imac 17" with 2ghz g5 1.5gb of ram, 160gb hd which im pretty sure would suffice. The problem is it would be about $2000 for this. But for me to upgrade my pc to about the same specs it would only cost around $500-600. so what im asking is if you think it is worth it to spend the extra money and save for a mac instead of upgrading my existing pc for what im going to be using it for. And if suggesting the mac which one do you think would be the best, because i know the imac hasnt been around that long so im not sure if any problems would come from them since the whole computer is in the monitor (im sure apple would screw you over on repair for even fixing the monitor) thanks to anyone who can give me any help. i appreciate it.
