  1. Fucking cosign, Benchmade makes the best knifes on the planet.

    I carried a 943 for a year or so until lost it on a drunken night out.

    943.jpg

    fugg that shits dope. looks fucking light weight

    i've been looking around, and i think this is pretty fucking cool..for that neo-classic look:

  2. so, i know there's been a couple threads in the past about "what's in your pockets".

    i just want to re-create and refocus on EDC items. i've been researching and picking

    up items here and there that would fall under the "EDC" category, and just wanted

    to see what some of you guys have on you at all times. i'm not a mountaineer or

    anything, but who doesn't like to have an arsenal of cool shit. i'm by no means an

    expert or a veteran when it comes to these types of item (i'm prettymuch noob status

    at this point), but they're still fun to look at and own.

    now, i know it is inevitable someone will post a picture of something idiotic and sarcastic (go figure),

    but lets try to stay on course. there's a ton of info out there and a ton of information

    regarding strengths and weaknesses toward such items.

    with that said, what are your Every Day Carry items?

    as for me, i will start with a couple linked pics from t3h webz:

    first off:

    blackberry-tour-9630.jpg

    my phone.. it doesnt' really fall under typical EDC items, but it is something i have on me

    at all times.

    Benchmade 553 - Griptilian. This shit is mad trusty and durable. Fits perfectly in my hand and is on me at all times. not necessarily for shanking dudez, but just for random shit i find using a blade is more efficient/fun than anythign else. i'd highly rec this knife. there are youtube reviews and online reviews of this knife, and it's an overall good choice for anybody

    3.

    med_traveller_white10-01-01.jpg

    SIGG 0.6L bottle. i use this thing religiously. it's rugged and has a nice outcoating to keep it from being beat the fuck up. easy to clean and i'd say looks pretty cool.

    4.

    CDG_3.png

    and of course my wallet. i rotate between a couple, but i've been stuck on this comme des garcons wallet for a while. fruity looking? yes. functional and minimal? very.

    5.

    ZI207G.jpg

    zippo lighter. i'm a huge fan of bics, but zippos are just fucking fun to play with. and they're refillable

    so people, i know you have more than enough time to respond to this thread w/ some cool items. so post up!

  3. i actually stopped by the apple store to check it out... don't think it'll reallllyy supplement my life so i didn't buy it.. might look on the netz to see if theres a copy available..

    u get it? how is it?

  4. sarcasm's on point with the niche shit, there's no point doing something that anyone can do. as fare as the construction management route that really is something I'd prefer not to do as my dad is a construction manager, yeah he makes shit loads $$$$ and does specialize in green technology and tiltup construction but i'd just feel as if im copying him.

    funnily enough my dad is a "mastermind" or INTP (same as viperface) and likes to compare him self to Hannibal Hannibal Lecter, i agree that it's only a guide based on past experience and just because i im an architect/ intp doesn't mean i should become an architect.

    i just googled intp carrers and architect didn't even come up on the partictulare page i was on. what did is

    * Scientist/biologist/physicist/chemist

    * Engineer

    * Marketing specialist

    * Artist/actor

    * Consultant

    * Manager

    * Human Resources

    * Project manager

    * Teacher

    and none of those really sound that fun, most of them don't sound that bad just not as fun as perhaps architecture. another career path i was thinking of taking is console engineering, i really don't know what its meant to be called but i was thinking of specializing in dj mixers and midi controllers/ synthesizers. i think my main motive for this is the never ending amount of dj mixers and midi controllers/ synthesizers but fuck it would kick ass. and if sarcasm's write about the 7 career's why do both console engineer and architect plus a few others for good measure, hell i got the time

    *i think wu-tang should employ viperface full time to find kungfu quotes

    for you to puruse a career specializing in creating/working w/ dj mixers and synthesizers, you would for all intensive purposes need to follow a degree in electrical engineering. those types of devices utilize basic electical circuitry which you'll pretty much learn the first couple years of actual engineering classes. i know cuz i'm an EE. seen it, done it, not that interesting.. i'm sure there are speciality schools who may promote being a sound/music engineer.. but all that really is, is being at the controls adjusting the tones, pitches, or wutever they do.

    fyi.. varying sound- such as synthesized sounds - requires adjusting the frequency that pitch is being processed at.. all that really is, electrical engineering wise, is programming a microprocessor to check the output and comparing it to the input, and adjusting the frequency of the signal. that and a few circuitry components u can literally buy at radio shack and fry's will allow you to do this. (check the diy blogs out there, im can almost guarantee someone's done this as a hobbie) but i'm pretty sure, companies like Bose and who ever makes dope dj equipment has done tons of research in imporving these things - or at least the asian kid who sat next to you in math is doing that for a living now

  5. being an architect is a sweet job, but tons of studying needs to be accomplished beforehand. not just design wise, but mathematical understand of structural competence will have to be learned.

    if i were u, i'd go into urban development or civil engineering- focusing in structural design or some shit

    get ur learn on, do something fucking hard and work through it. it pays better.

    find a specialty niche in the industry. lots of people don't know, and go for the glamorous types jobs that leave them broke b/c A.) its saturated and B.) you're not as good as the other guy. finding a niche market and excelling in that area will not only secure your job (b/c everybody needs that certain niche) but it'll pay well.

    for example, why don't u specialize in incorporating "green" methods in keeping a building cool? or alternative power distribution (like wind farms and shit)you can go to architect school, engineering school, or wutever and specialize in something that will lead to this path, etc.

    how about focus on lighting, HVAC distribution/design, anything. b/c as it stands, the housing market is fucking crap and development is at a hault. pick ur poison wisely.

    toughing it out for a couple of years is well worth it. i kicked my ass thru school while my friends partied, and low and behold i have a steady job that pays real well, while everybody got laid off and can't find work and living w/ mom and dad. nah mean?

    get ur hustle on

  6. I do not. Looks to me like a sleeker version of their Rolls saddle...

    word.. i haven't met anybody whose ridden this saddle, and im interested in buying it.

    i have my first century coming up, and i want to buy a new saddle shortly, so i have enough time to break it in and what not before the long ride.

    and to anybody looking at the specialized toupe/gel it's an awesome saddle. i've ridden them before and they are quite good. usually people like either the toupe/gel or the fizik arione in my experience.

    i have the specialized phenom, which is pretty much the toupe, but the mountain version. a bit of cushion and a more hefty nose, which has proven pretty useful to me while climbing

  7. older heads: there was a photo blog type shpeal of black and white photos of a dude who took pics of some hood ass dudes in NY.. got a link?

    im too fucknig lazy to search

    holla

    and if you haven't tried these, u better get on it:
