    alright....alright...

     

    with the resent onslaught of out of town cats either visiting and/or moving here...matched by an almost equal amount of new jacks half steppin and playing themselves for easy props.....a history lesson is in order.

     

    first off....credit where credit is due....props to my brethren, DUBL FV.EBC(the real ebc, not the mirage out now) for lacing me with a shit ton of flicks this summer. almost all of these are taken by him.

    2nd...props to everyone in these photos....if it were not for you...i have no clue what detroit graffiti would look like. these are the cats that pushed the boundaries for what graffiti should look like then, as well as continue to influence what graffiti will look like in detroit for years to come.

    last...cool story br0!

    due to the recent flood of traffic to this thread...i feel its needed for another history lesson.

    for the new jacks playin themselves for quick fame....

    and for the out of towners who have either moved here, visited here, or plan on either two who are excited about this newly discovered "graffiti playground" that a lot of us call home....

     

    ...this is a history lesson (no a complete one...but pretty comprehensive) of the cats who put in work not only on the streets..but equally on trying to create a graffiti culture here; not to mention push boundaries for what graffiti should look like for that era as well as what graffiti can look like for years to come.

     

    but first. a peek into what the city looked like before you even fathomed stepping foot here...

    ive played that variation of freeze tag like twice.. one of my cousins introduced that rule into the game.. kinda got annoying after awhile

     

    but yeah i played TV tag too.. we'd play either cartoon network, nickelodeon, or disney

    going between the legs n/h ended up getting you mad grass stains...

    as far as TV tag goes...we kinda did the same thing to make it harder.

    freeze tag: is it true that in order to unfreeze a frozen teammate, you had to crawl under their legs to "unfreeze" them?

    or did me and my friends make that up as kids?

     

    also....did anyone ever play "TV tag"? where you had to name a television show in order to avoid being "it" once tagged?

    im pretty sure me and my friends made this one up....

    nah, i was calling y'all the import turds.

     

    if you ask me, it's only been until recently, that the acceptance of "thick" fat women, has been so widespread. I put a heavy heavy chunk of the blame on the shoulders of shitty rappers that constantly glorify strippers/stripping. The other part of the blame, is that we're all getting fat as fuck ourselves, if all that's around is fat bitches, then hot skinny chicks become a weird minority, which is exactly what happened, case in point, with this thread.

    was it cool to be fat in the 90's when kate moss and cindy crawford were the shit? No, it was cool to have bulimia and size E fake tits.

     

    was it cool to be fat in the 80's? C'mon son, everyone was on blow, nobody was fat unless you were a square that didn't toot lines.

     

    was it cool to be fat in the 70's? See above.

     

    was it cool to be fat in the 60s? Fuck no, unless you were some dirtbag biker's girl. Then yeah, have all the fat long flapping titties you want, nobody gave a fuck about those hags besides the D-bags who are just as foul anyway. Biker sluts have been the "go to" sloppy long titted women SINCE the 60's.

     

    Pre 60's who gives a fuck, the women were ok fat because back then if you were fat, you were rich, so people automatically thought fat was cool because everyone was dead broke.

     

    I wonder if that has any relevance today? Perhaps the impoverished still believe subconsciously that fat = success?

     

    doesn't anyone find grace attractive anymore? "thick" chicks are about as graceful as a mac truck...
