    even in regional or geographic bench threads,
    as a general rule, do not specify the location of where a piece was painted
    or what city or region people represent or hail from

    it is not relevant information that anyone needs to know if they don't know already

    furthermore, you may be endangering the freedom of the writer.

    so aside from where you caught it, keep your knowledge to yourself.
