this shit needs to be closed. NOTHING good is coming from this thread.
as for education, that's not the key to all our problems. at least not for the first few generations. in the south, 'goddamn' is considered worse than 'nigger', which is very troubling. these are people who grew up hearing the word, and who will continue to hear and use it until they die.
who's going to educate these people? and what are we educating them with? "saying these words is bad, mmmkay?"? that shit won't fly with these people. the ignorance and racism is so deep within them that they just mentally can't accept any other points of view.
the problem goes way beyond simply telling them that they're ignorant. also, it's not just the whites; sure whites are the dominant ignorant force in the south, but some of the blacks hate the whites just as much as they're hated by them. the problem isn't extreme enough to call for a revolution like we had in the '50s and '60s, but it's a problem nonetheless. any suggestions for what could work?

Shit I've always been down to get down, but shit i dont got no spots or no one to show me wats good in or near the district. "Get it in when you fit in" still puttin in work every opportunity.
maybe venture into silver spring? i dunno man, just explore and shit. go out in the daytime and map out spots, plan your route, whatever. just don't paint over anyone else and you're good.

CAPONE THAT CRAZY SON OF A BITCH! i think that may have been the best ending of an episode yet. i just hope harrow doesn't die because he's the only genuinely good person (although capone is good too) in the show. hopefully margaret will just go off somewhere and die.
i'm really hoping harrow will blow gillian away, marry julia, and take the kid with him, to live a long and happy life of sniping fools and being a general all around badass.
here's who i want to see kill everyone:
chalkie/nucky kills gyp, harrow kills gillian, nucky's squad decimating gyp's squad, and rothstein going back into business with nucky and all that jazz. also i hope van alden is part of the team that capone brought to AC and we get to see him bust a few of gyp's cronies' heads in the process. i'm really praying for an all-out war since we haven't really gotten to see much of the outright gratuitous violence and bloodshed.

just finished snow crash. HIGHLY recommended to anyone who enjoys the cyberpunk, dystopian future, 1984-esque books. written in '92, was very ahead of its time in terms of technology, pretty much accurately predicted the existence of second life.
10/10 would read again

How about the Wolverine 1000 Mile boots? Granted, they're a bit pricey at $325, but they'll hold up better than the Adidas/Vans, and probably the Timbs as well.
If you maintain these boots and make them look nice, they're also pretty classy in my opinion. Wear 'em with some jeans and a blazer and you're not doing too bad.
