i have been looking for it for about 15 years now. the closest i got was seeing a reference to it on Amazon Germany a few years ago. again, from what i can recall, all of the fliks in it i have never seen before or since. i only know of 3 people who have a copy, one of which is eggman (this is his photo by the way). it may just be rare to me - but this is the only book on subway graffiti that i cannot seem to find anywhere. i think it only exists in personal collections.
I found the Christ Subway Graffiti book around a year ago. I think I did get it off the German Amazon, but it was hard. The seller wanted a bank transfer, which is a pain in the ass and expensive. I ended up mailing cash to Germany.
Keep looking! I'm still looking for that Andrea Nelli one.... Some day....

Agreed. Unfortunately, I don't have anything new to post...
Although it is officially no longer "hard to find", to those seeking the Jepsy book, it has been reprinted/revised and will be available on 6/5 from Amazon.

I saw a youtube clip, but it only showed some canvases.

word. i figured it'd be a dope book since it's by Jack Stewart, the guy who did that one dissertation.
It's a heavily edited version of that dissertation.

Re: NYC Subways - the good stuff
Yeah, keep the stories coming. They are an addition, not a distraction.

Subway Graffiti: An aesthetic study of graffiti on the subway system of New York City, 1970-1978.
Author: Jack Stewart Ph. D.
Publisher: UMI Dissertation Services
Published: 1989
The first publication to approach subway graffiti from within the context of world history dating back to prehistoric times. Stewart documents subway art in earliest and most progressive stages in great detail. Book features interviews with many New York City legends such as TRACY 168, PHASE 2, WASP and LEE 163rd. (We highly recommend this book.)

You can search "completed listings" to see how much something sold for.
