Agreed the quality of life in NYC has improved. I take back the "good memories" comment. It was pretty horrible. Remember seeing these neighborhoods as a little kid in the back of mom's BF's car into Manhattan and would take neighborhood roads (guessing because he didn't like I95 traffic). Real erie vibe.

Not graffiti but good memories of old NY. Older heads will get a flashback.
