This page is killer.
CACashRefund: loving the Red's Java House.
saintseiya: the colors on that smokestack photo are super intense, I love it.
CEKONE: those last two long exposure shots are crazy good.
optimus_prime: those skyline/night shots are awesome. the detail of the lights really grab me for some reason.
jbrshmonster: how did you get the white so vibrant in that cab shot? whenever I do black and white that has a lot of white in it, it always looks dull and gray.
Everyone is killin' it in here, hopefully I'll have some new stuff to post this weekend.
And congrats on RIT Rage.

The last two pages of this thread are crazy good.
Finally took my camera out yesterday. Only three shots of the same building
but I like the way they came out.
Do people here use tripods? I'm thinking I might
need to start using one soon for my outdoor stuff.
Any suggestions or recommendations for a good, portable tripod?

Damn. I haven't been on this thread in awhile. Great new stuff in here as always.
I haven't done much lately, but here are a few things:
-
I don't get down to the Mill very often, but I might be heading down there in a few weeks. I'll try to remember to check it out.
-
Hahahahaha. I doubt that will ever happen.
Bucas? Where is that at? I've never heard of it.

Coffee through the nose status.
Funniest thing I'd seen in awhile. Good stuff. This thread is killer.

I finally got my copy (v1 standard) today and I am in love.
I ordered it last week and have been anxiously awaiting its arrival.
Unfortunately I had it delivered to work (just arrived 5 minutes ago)
and it's becoming a huge distraction. I can't wait to tear into it on the
way home. It's beautiful.
-
Oh. Right.
Scoff scoff.
Is that better? ;)
And yes SteveAustin I will definitely be posting the finished product. Provided that I start it one of these days. I've got a few starting points now so we'll see what happens.
-
Sabe and Steve I like those ideas a lot. Unfortunately I don't have any drawing skills but I think this gives me a really good idea.
Bulldust I hate to sacrifice my decks like that but I think might hit up some thrift stores and try to incorporate the vinyl record idea. That would be dope.
Siphilis I'm trying to make dreams a reality everyday but sometimes I need a little push. I guess I get too into my "symetrical on purpose" ideas to go into anything new. You know how I do.
But thanks for the input, it has definitely helped. Hopefully I'll get the whole thing finished by next week. Whenever I do, I'll post the finished product.
In the meantime, any other ideas are more that welcome!

I'm sick as fuck right now. Anyone in the greater northeast/midwest/northwest knows how horrific winter is... how about some get-well sooner tips?
My current daytime prescription:
I'm getting over a wicked ass cold too and I swear by Traditional Medicinals. Always cures whatever ills. That and a few Long Island Iced Teas gets rid of all cold, flu and general illness. You should try the HerbaTussin and Cold Care P.M. Shit saved my life a couple of times I swear fo' lawd.. Whenever I get sick it flares up my asthma and the Traditional Medicinals knocks it right out.
But most importantly the six Long Islands I just drank definitely did the job. I feel 100% already.

surprised queenofsorrows didnt post up, didnt she post herself he first week here?
I've never posted myself here.
-
Wow. This is tight. This would make a great print for my wall.
-
Hahaha. That was one bright car for sure. Took me about 10 shots to get one where it wasn't glaring and reflecting the sunlight super bad.
-
Found some old car show photos today... :love2:
Doing a lot of rummaging through old photos, so hopefully I'll have more to post later.
-
Pfffffffffft the colors in some those are out of this world. Great shots all around. What type of camera do you use?
-
I don't eat much.
I've had that monitor for 9 years. Since I was 13.

This may not be worthy of startng a new thread but I couldn't really think of any other place to put this, so I'm hoping that you creative and talented folks can help me out.
I recently came across a ton of photographs (mostly 4x6s) that I really like. They're actually copies of what I used to have in my portfolio so it's what I think of as my best work. But I don't want to frame them and hang them up in the conventional way (I have enough framed stuff already). I thought about doing a photo collage on poster board but ran out ideas on how to arrange everything. I'd like to do something different and artistic, but my usual creative drive has left me stranded.
Any ideas on good "crafty" things to do with these photos? Collages, framing, cutting, mixed media? Anything. I don't really have a lot of money to run out and buy a ton of stuff, but any ideas are more than welcome (and needed!) I won't ever throw them away and want to display them all, but I hate to think of them sitting in a box getting dusty because I couldn't figure out anything better to do with them.
-
Very nice stuff Cekone. I'm especially digging the first cigar box shot and
the last skateboarding shot. I'm in love with rich, yet not overpowering
colors and your shots are a good example of that. Definitely keep posting
more of your stuff.
-
Hahahahaha. That's hilarious. My Dad was just down in the Virgin Islands
and he said he saw a few people with that hair. I didn't believe him, but now
I do.
-
Even if you don't make loads of money Erizeno, that still sounds like an
awesome place to be. I'm jealous. I hope that I'll fall into an opportunity
like that one day. Until then I guess I'll just have to keep working my ass off.
(And I'm sure Muska didn't even notice you missing that tre-flip! ;) )
And as a late addition to my previous post and so everyone will stop hating
on my dirty bathtub, this is what it looks like now. I do clean as often as
possible, but due to my crazy hectic schedule it's hard to find the time these
days.
The brownish stuff around the edges and in between the tiles is the result
of a bad caulking job by my shitty landlord. And unfortunately there are
tons of stains from the crackheads that lived here before me that I'll never
be able to get rid of.

Well I do. I am not looking for casual sex, I am interested in meeting a
woman who has it also to explore the idea of a lasting relationship. I am
very picky, and desire a companion in life that I find very attractive and
intelligent. You are also just as picky in the same manner.
Reply to this ad if you feel you meet ALL of the criteria, of course
pictures are not expected unless we both feel some sort of connection
and both feel safe enough.
None the less, thanks for reading this far.
:shook:
Craigslist freaks me out sometimes.
