  1. The way you see things only applies to small towns and simple labor trade arrangements. It does not apply to multi-national corporations and financial markets that do not involve labor, which are the cause of the financial failures we currently are having and the libertarian nonsense does not include in their viewpoints.

You seem pretty naive and are willing to disregard the realities of todays global markets.

    Says who? You?

Corruption is the system we live under, you can not simply dismiss this and say it "won't work" because of the situation we are in now, we did not follow a free market to get into this mess, you don't understand this, you think we are already in a free market, and you think this is the reason for our economic turmoil. You are wrong.

Please explain the realities of today's global markets, drop some knowledge bro don't just make blanket statements and move forward as if they are fact. Or as if you have any idea as to what you are claiming.

  2. Ok, so a utopia is not attainable. Lets all just work in factories and fields for less then minimum wage, because that is what our labor is worth comparatively.

You truly are learning disabled, aren't you?

What? Who even said this? It is ultimately up to yourself to get educated and get out in society to be productive, you determine your own self worth. If you do nothing to raise the value of your contribution to society why should you have status over someone who has?

Why do you assume that in a society structured in the way that I see it should be structured you assume a backwards transition back to the middle ages?? Or whatever time period you feel is more accurate. I see no reason for this connection.

Yeah, I have multiple learning disabilities. One of them includes discussing things of this nature over the internet with you.

  3. I want to stay away from picking this game, I've been 100% accurate with my picks all playoffs and if my luck continue's I could win some decent $$$.

Obviously being a Giants fan, I think we have a better team so we SHOULD win. However I do acknowledge that the Patriots are good, Tom Brady is in fact their QB and Bellichick is their Coach. They haven't won a Superbowl since Spygate and the last time they made it they lost to the Giants, so definitely some more incentive to want to win this won more then if the Pats had played SF.

Should be good, I'm thinking it's going to be close, and yeah it's cliche but whoever has the ball at the end will probably win.

    Go GIANTS!

  4. Breaking your back? What are you talking about? Wages?

All I was saying is, Libertarian philosophy acknowledges that a utopia is not obtainable. So attempting to do such with legislation, and expanding government is just not going to solve the problem at hand.

  5. It amazes me how narrow minded AOD is for his own point of view. It seems that he thinks he has all the answers and if we just went along with his thought process, we will be living in utopia.

No, just no. In fact if you read Libertarian philosophy you would realize the argument against this "utopia" that people like you attempt to create. There is no utopia.

  6. It's not "advantage".

You come across as if this line of thought is used to take away from someone else to gain an edge, this isn't the case, it's the opposite.

In fact, the line of thought that you think is correct is more on the terms you put forward.

I don't understand the rules sometimes for a TD, I thought when this happened it would have been over turned because it looks as if Cruz drops the ball as soon as it hits the ground, even tho he went past the goal line with the ball. It was ruled as a TD.

Calvin Johnson did something similar last year and his wasn't ruled a TD either. I think the Evans play should have at least been reviewed. It also doesn't excuse him from dropping it either.

  8. really? you really that blind to not see the comparison?

everyone that lives in the US, is literally chained under the rule of the government. every single aspect of their lives are ruled from DC. ron paul is someone seeking to loosen the chains and let liberty flourish. considering the founding generation threw off their own government for miniscule invasions of liberty, how can you possibly live with yourself and live in a country that was founded on such radicalism? that threw off its own government, that by any modern comparison was a society essentially comparable with anarchy when you look at the government we have today and the government they had then? dont you think thomas jefferson in his declaration of independence was just a dangerous radical that deserves to be shouted down because he wasnt realistic? really?

think about what those people did. they threw off the most powerful government on earth. totally unrealistic according to the experts of the period.

i completely obliterated your argument about us not living in tyranny in previous posts. we definitely live under tyranny

yes, plenty of people may agree with your statism, just like plenty of people used to agree blacks deserved to be whipped if they resisted their orders.

Yes, this to be is the whole point which is why I linked PCR's article, and took that specific thing out of it, he has a few critics for Paul if he'd like to appeal to a wider base and have a higher shot at being elected, but that's not what RP does.

"Some readers misunderstood the point of my previous column, “America’s Last Chance.” I am endorsing the U.S. Constitution and making the point that Ron Paul is the only candidate for president in either party who is committed to resurrecting the Constitution. Without the Constitution we cease to be American citizens and become subjects of a tyrannical police state. My complaint is that the only candidate who could

bring back the Constitution cannot be elected because of the inflexibility and sectarianism of his base. Possibly there are more worthy third party candidates, but they have no prospect of visibility. Ron Paul is visible, and the opportunity is going to waste.

I hope readers will spare me their comments about how important their various single issues are. There are many important things. The question is: what is the over-riding important thing?

Civil Liberty, essentially the accountability of government to law that serves to protect the innocent, is the historic achievement of the English over many centuries from its beginnings with the foundation for common law established by Alfred the Great in the 9th century through Magna Carta in the 13th century to the Glorious Revolution in the 17th century. If this human achievement is lost, it is unlikely to be resurrected. If the Constitution that Bush and Obama have murdered stays in its grave one more presidential term, no one will be able to re-establish the Constitution’s authority.

And please, no prattle from libertarians about “natural rights.” The only rights we have

are rights achieved by centuries of human struggle that we have the wits and strength to retain.

And no prattle from left-wingers who denounce the Constitution for not protecting slaves and native Indians. The Constitution did not establish universal justice. The Constitution protected the people covered by it. Over time rights were extended. During the past decade the Constitution lost its power. Today rights depend on the subjective opinion of the executive branch. This is tyranny. We should be unified in our opposition to tyranny."

But I got a better idea, let's compare this line of thought to emo indie music and pretend it's irrelevant.

  9. I can't even engage in this.

It is not the 18th century. It would not work. It is a fucking pipedream. Yes, I'm sheep, I'm a fascist, I'm buying into the lies that my government feeds me, I'm complacent and ambivalent. Say whatever you want.

I'm sure you are rife with examples of governments that collapsed because they took on too much, went too far, whatever. Please give me an example of a government successfully regressing all of its general policies to the ones it had 200 years ago.

You explain child labor as being necessary for the times; in other words, it "fit" and doesn't today. One could easily apply the exact same logic to the argument that we should revert to an explicit/hardline interpretation of the Constitution that was in place in the 18th century.

I am all for reforms, and would like to see several things changed in our government. This is simply not a realistic path to those goals.

This is kind of long and I don't expect you to watch all of it, but it isn't necessary.

This isn't the 18th century either, or any prehistoric time period where you think these philosophies only work.

You'll pretty much get the message after watching 10-15 minutes. It wasn't a complete roll back in policy, but it was the opposite of what we are doing now, and well, listen.

More in here, few critics. I just took the part I liked. Go figure.

  11. uh, underrated? been hearing a lot about all those guys, especially cruz

    Yeah, underrated.

All I heard about all year was the Saints, Packers and Patriots skill players. Ya Cruz got some attention, but...he had a 1,500 yard season. You can't ignore that.

As a group, they don't get the credit they deserve, but I guess that's about to change.

  12. giantswideouts.jpg?w=250

These guys are still so young, and so underrated, I know because it's the Superbowl they'll probably be focused on more, but the whole year when I heard people talk about receiving corps and who is at the top nobody mentioned us.

Kind of funny now. All young too. Can't wait to see the future for these guys.
